If we are still poor 6-10 rounds in then maybe Gentle will be under pressure but right now let's be patient.

But looking at the next 3 games tonight's performance doesn't exactly give you any confidence that we can pick up any points.

You talk of splashing the cash as alot of reporters have claimed but look at the players you have thrown silly money at, McDonnell and Galea. Not a wise move at all.

Oh and by the way Galea was an absolute joy to watch at Rovers.

Im gonna reseve judgement but have to say im very dissapointed at the collapse in the final quarter.

What i will say is that performance (on top of the rovers friendly result) isnt gonna get the armchair supporters out of their armchairs and to actual games. I think the club should now shut up about aspirations and stop the players talking too as all weve heard is top four this, watch us now, we'll be a different side and then low and behold.

Why are hull fans so convinced what pearson/gentle say is gospel? Like it or not other than ellis (whose injury I hope is not as bad as it seems) the signings promised did not arrive,holdsworth is solid,but the main need was a replacement for seymour and pearson and gentle admitted it yet they brought in several other signings 3 from rovers who according to this forum are rubbish,if they needed a signing from rovers it was dobbo,nobody else.But what to I know Iam a rovers fan,you were so smug after you lost the derby friendly,in gentle we believe etc,how couldn't you see the signs,you like us will be battling for places 5-9,sort of division 2 of superleague,yet pearson tells you top 2,top 4 etc and you believe.Get real.!

People need to calm down and look at the game and not the scorline. We matched Leeds for an hour with the majority of that defending our own line. When Heremia went for the 40/20 and it wasnt given that was the big game changer. Leeds scored 3 back to back tries then players started to drop of tackles. The main worry for me is our attack in the oppositions 30. We went well getting of our line and getting into a decent position for the kick but when we had a set of Leeds line we really struggled.

Seymour is getting alot of stick but imo peoples minds are already set on him. He did miss a couple of vital tackles in the last quarter but so did majority. The first half he defended really well againt Ablett which people forget. In attack Houghton was at fault for majority of the time DJ and Seymour got tackled in possesion. His passing was dreadful, above heads to the feet and to bothered about jumping outta the ruck. Crookes went really well and proved alot of people wrong me included.

Agree with that. As long as we don't have a confident general type scrum half the we have to have Heremaia on the field longer. He is our ONLY organiser and in the two games has posed the only threat. Houghton , apart from his effort which is unquestionable , is poor and just runs us in to trouble. His slow acting half play , poor passing and lack of vision mean that our average playmakers are getting the ball and man at the same time and look worse than they are. When Heremaia came on our tempo increased and for a short spell we got on the front foot.
Having said that , once again our forwards were bullied and we desperately missed our get out of jail play , ie , no Manu to get us out of our 40.

Ive being saying for a while, there is going to be a lot of disapointed hull fans this season, who where expecting great things.
But as last night proved we are so lacking in creativity and flair. We where so poor with ball in hand, slow and lacking any sort of ideas or leadership. You just canot see where the points are going to come from this season. last season everthing good came down our left with manu, yeaman, brisco, we aint got that now. you couldnt fault the teams effort for 50-60 mins but we looked so ordinary, it was very very disapointing.
If i was AP i would be very worried to be honest.
