| I think it's a shame to lose Turner but these things happen.
At least he will see out his contract with us and he has played some good rugby this season (the hat trick against rovers was nice)
Turner is replaceable and Gentle will not let us down

If he doesn't want to be here enough to move here then he can love off, he's hardly Mark Gasnier, is he. 90% of people on here were slating him the last two years, now he's had half a dozen decent games we should be gutted? Think Saints have better centres coming through.
He's definitely a Brown type back, big, tall and athletic. But he isn't anywhere near as good as a Cudjoe, for example.'"
Mark Gasnier looks a shadow of his former self IMO. On form, in the games he's played this season, there are not 3 better English centres than Turner. You can only judge on form, and he's been exceptional this year.

| For me,only disappointing from this years form point of view.If say, hed have gone at the end of last season,i wouldnt have really been too bothered at all.True, this is probably due to having a coach who knows what hes doing, but i have no doubt whoever wants to go or we let go will be replaced by the people now in charge with better...

| I think people should stop sulking on here, players move from teams all the time, all we can ask is that the likes of Manu and Turner are professional for the rest of the season (and i'm sure they will be), in the meantime i'm sure PG will pick his best 17 to win any particular game regardless of the situation, isn't that what it is all about at the end of the day?

| I don't understand why people on here take the hump when a player moves on. Best of luck to the lad, and I hope he develops into an international player.

I would suspect that the majority of supporters want our players to love our team as much as we do. I certainly don't wish him any bad luck, but don't want to be mucked about, either play with 100% commitment or b^gger off (that's my opinion by the way).

Agree 100%, not too bothered at all. If Arundel does come I actually think he's a better player than Turner was at the same age with at least as much potential. In a year's time I doubt there'll be threads bemoaning the loss.

At least. Cases for Hardaker and Bridge as well.

| Thought Jordan may have given it a shot under the new Coach & owner but maybe we are paying for the failings of the previous seasons? If he doesn't want to be at Hull then no point having him here, have to say though I didn't realise they'd moved Oldham & it was so far away from Hull.
This club needs players that are committed and want to be here. Cynical side of me wonders if Jordan has improved under Gentle or was he out to impress his new club?
It's disappointing but ain't going to be the end of the world as for too long we have been average and in need of a serious turf out. We have cap space and time available to build with for next season & an owner & Coach who want to bring success not just scrape into the 8.
In AP, PG & SM we trust

| I don't buy all this 'wanting to be closer to family' crap.
Hull is hardly the other side of the world from Oldham and being a professional rugby league player is hardly a nine to five job. He could always move to the West Riding and be an hour away from both Hull and Lancashire.
Why not just be honest and say it's for the money.

Defo, if we had Bridge and Yeaman in our side Turner wouldn't get a sniff. Shame but life goes on and I'd be happy with Arundel and Yeamo with Crookes pushing for a spot.

Totally agree with this, all we want from any player is to give their all whilst they're with us, suggestions that we should drop Turner in favour of Crooks are just barking! Firstly how is it fair to the player, secondly it undermines confidence/trust in the playing staff, thirdly it damages us for this season.
I would be happy for Crooks to play against some of the lesser teams like Wakey & Widnes or if there is an injury but dropping Turner for him having the temerity to sign for another team is beyond reasoning! If the rumours are correct and we sign Arundel then where would Crooks be playing next season anyway, he certainly wouldn't be getting a bench spot if our main centres are fit?
Good luck to him and hope he continues the form he's shown so far.
Oh and Oldham is 90 miles away so asking him to drive over for each game/training session is no small thing, don't know if the club were paying him extra to cover that but that's £70 a week in fuel alone never mind how tiring it can be. Think people need to respect his decision, it's not like he's fooked us over half way through the season 'cos it's a bit chilly

| I kind of had an inclin after Longy tweeted him asking him if he needed a house up there. Player mind games unsure.
He's not irreplaceable nor is he one of the best in the league. More than happy for him to leave crooks will overcome him and be a far better player - fact.
But the team at current alike Kosh has said needs to be picked on form. Ben is still young carry on to give him the game time we intended too I am sure we can't do much wrong.
Was led to believe Shenton was returning to Cas > Turner to Saints > Arundel to FC
Now kind of looks that way too.
