“We will not accept a top eight finish as a barometer of supposed success at any point in the future whilst I am the owner of this club.
Thats why you got the Bullet Agar...Adam Pearson wants winners...not useless gits like you.

Hepi was a thug...end of.

He was a cheap shot merchant, dirty get and wasnt very good tbh.It was him that went mad with the clippers before the premiership final v Hudds....last i heard he was cleaning out $hit-houses which just about summed up his talent.

Yep ...How the hell he was a current Austrailian test player i will never know.I remember him playing at old Caravan Park and all the Hull fans booing were him until they took him off. With that he got the loudest cheer of the game.Dave Brown was the worst player ever to wear the famous black and white imo.

| As I can go back a very long way I can recall a South African fullback called Pin McMillan. If I said he was sh*te I would be paying him a compliment. Does anyone else remember him?

| think hepi is going to polarise opinions here more than any other overseas player. i thought he was ok at championship level but was never really a superleague player. his disciplinary record was pretty good for us as i recall
for what its worth i thought andy purcell was a good player in a poor team
paul mc nicholas was solid

Rememeber Pin McMillan well and yes he was sh*te. I think he was recommened to the club by John Whitely and Tommy Harris, they got that one wrong. First of a few South Africans to come over at that time, St Helens got Tom van Vollenhoven we got Pin.

His last game ever was an example of that !!'"
I know what you mean, but of all the overseas FB's we have had I think he was the one with the least ability. Maybe the title "nightmare overseas lineup" makes it sound worst than it is. The following FB's where better than Byrne IMO.
Phelps
Tony
Holmes
Fitzgerald
So by default Byrne could get the number one jersey.

Stephen Holmes was a great player for us in the championship - he had the 'Kemble-esque' style of wanting to catch every kick on the full

Big mistake letting him go, would have done well in SL IMO.
Even though we signed Prescott he could have played on the wing or centre, would have been better than some of the s*ite we signed that year.

| Quote: Wilde 3 "How has it skewed my memory? He had one game there, and it was awful. He had other poor displays, just that one still stands out'"
In a period of time when St's were sweeping aside all comers, ourselves on the season before having 70+ points put on us at KR, conceeding just 4 tries suggests a decent display. Sammut being a full back, if he was so poor that day, it would suggest the opposition would have run on far more than four tries.
