Sterlo was talking during the Manly v Cowboys play off game ,saying that Lyon was pleased that they had found a very good player to play 6 , because he never liked playing there .Has been very good in the games i have seen on tv this year . Would love him here , but signings like his dont happen to us .....do they ???

Just really can't see Lyon coming at all. Why would he leave Manly/the NRL? Money? Doubt it, with the NRL getting that higher salary cap for future years, and his current contract has a couple of years to run and must surely be on a fair wedge as it is. Also with the exchange rate as it is we'd have to offer monster cash, which I'm not overly keen on. Would he risk being remembered as being a flop if it all went wrong after he's already proven himself in super league and won every accolade? Maybe, guess that would depend on my first point. Maybe he see's us as serious contenders and wants to win things? Guessing Manly getting to the Grand Final rules that one out.

Like I said, can't see it, but feel free to quote me if I'm wrong... Would be one hell of a signing...

Seriously, a friend of mine who has been correct numerous times in the past reckons Lyon is a no go, but that we are very close to signing Michael Jennings. Apparently he has had a fall out with the NRL and the Panthers following a couple of drink related issues this year.

One thing Agar did was change the culture of the club with regards to drink. No thanks.

Surely he would be worth a chance?
