If he was to run out for an SL game next week, how long do you reckon he'd last?

In last nights game his involvement for a halfback was minimal. He's definitely not fit enough for SL, and he really needs to get his hands on the ball more. His short range kicking was impressive, although I don't think we have the wingers to exploit his high kicks to the corners. I hope he kicks many 40/20's for us, although he'll have a lot less time to execute the kick in Super League. All in all he's adequate back up, and let's hope he has the same amount of improvement in him that Moa has had.

He played 80 minutes against Catalans in the cup, but the point remains that he won't be playing in SL next week, he will only be playing in SL once he's had a pre-season under his belt, and a full-time one at that.

I know. And at no point have I even hinted that I don't think he can make the step up, just that it [iis[/i a big step and he'll have to work hard in the off-season to be ready.

Just to be clear - I'm very happy that we've signed him and I look forward to him developing into a fine player for us in the future. I'm just not expecting him to be ready to lead us round the park from day one next season.

Fair enough. I understand the concerns about his conditioning but he's got bags of talent so no need to worry on that front, although I certainly think he benefits from our style of play of not relying on our half backs to dig us out of a hole too often.

He'll fit right in at our place then. We haven't been able to rely on our half backs for over 4 years now.

Sky were going on about him being injured but it was obvious that he got cramp, the physios were pushing his feet up and he then played with socks down, classic signs, then he went off.

Some neat touches from Ellis and alot of the players seem to carry a bit of midrif not just the one destined for us.
