Hard to take any positives from today, another home defeat and top six hopes further derailed.

Huddersfield were under par but we never took advantage.

Manu was excellent but we came away empty handed and we are in a results business.

Yeaman was absolutely terrible. Just played himself out of any chance of wearing an England shirt.

yeamo had a good game,but still doesnt know when to pass, last 5 min made a break had briscoe on the outside but went alone,thought basic mistakes cost us today,but hopefully a win next week will get us back on track,

Is the fact that we[i could [/i have won if we hadn't gifted them the game with our continuous errors a positive or a negative? We've got the strength, skill and know-how but just not the execution, it appears.

Out of the three Tongans apart from one run Lauaki was really poor today,no impact at all, Moa was good and and ran hard, Manu was excellent,by far the best of the three.
Felt sorry for Fitz again, way too much defensive work for a player of his age to do and was knackered after 60 minutes,should have been spelled.

To be fair, I thought that Hull FC looked decent, but just shocking at holding the ball.

Plenty of effort today I thought. Our turnovers killed us in the end. We lost our fulback to injury which meant a reshuffle and a loss of an interchange player.
The Tongans were superb as well I thought.
We were still in the game with 10 minutes to go despite not playing well.
I'm not a big fan of Agar, but the negativety that greets any defeat is ridiculous on here sometimes.

We still have a positive points difference

I think losing phelps really disrupted us, even though it didn't really need to. Turner could have gone to 6 and Horne to full back without changing much, but putting westerman at 6 really took the sting out of our attack. Turner looked sharp when he came on and I think that's what we needed whereas westerman looks too slow to play half back.

Hopefully Longy back next week so for me it would be him and turner in the halves, horne at full back, whiting on right wing and obst on the bench as interchange hooker.
