The answer to that is obvious, and proves the point I made in the post above it.

| So by turning it around he means ,fast flowing, entertaining rugby that will bring us fans out of our apathy?
Oh,and we might actually win a game?
I feel cynical about the whole situation at the moment t.b.h.
A sad state of affairs when you lose heart with the club you support.

The problem is, that those of you who are obviously, and understandably, very angry about the present situation, think that anybody who has different view, is either a sheep, apathetic or ICEPROEXCREAMMAN.
All I'm saying is, it doesn't look like Agar is going anywhere at the moment, so I CHOOSE to continue supporting Hull FC, by going to watch.'"
I'm sorry but that isn't all you are doing, supporting the team doesn't have to involve defending the Head Coach's poor performance.
Rich Agar is like global warming. Some people saw the problem ages ago, while most took a lot longer to convince. Now though, the body of evidence has become so overwhelming that the only people left denying it to be true are crackpots and those with a vested interest. The time for having the debate about whether Agar should remain in his job is over, everyone must focus their efforts on forcing him out of the club before the damage becomes completely irreparable.

Good summary that, it took me a while to realise Agar was not the man for us tbh.
Hopefully he will have feck off after tomorrow.

I've given up trying to guess results TBH. Either way he won't be going any time soon.

All the indications from the club suggest otherwise.

The board won't sack him I agree, but if he's got anything about him he'd have the decency to walk if we get beat tomorrow.

You'd think if he had any self respect he'd accept the fact that he's taken the club as far as he can (backwards, as it happens). However, he presumably has a mortgage to pay and a family to support so why would he quit a job with over 18 months left on his contract?

Yer that's the obvious counter-argument, I guess all I can say is why does anyone ever resign? There comes a point when your position becomes so untenable that you have to put self respect and dignity above other factors, especially when you are on record as saying you'll walk if it doesn't work out and you genuinely want what is best for the club.
Money-wise, he's been earning good money for the last three years so I'm sure his family wouldn't be destitute, and he'll always be able to get a coaching job in the national leagues or even another assistant gig in SL.

I think, if you read some of my previous posts, they do show support of Agar, mainly in the guise of, 'You can't blame him for everything'. which you and others tend to. My view is, that not all our ill's will be cured when he goes.
What I have said in more recent posts, is that whilst I recognise it is time for him to go, I don't think that is going to happen any time soon. So to prevent myself blowing a gasket, like some on here, I will have to wait until those who can make that decision, do. Whilst I still get my fix of live RL.
I also accept that your opinion, and some others on here, is based on a far greater knowledge of the game, and the inner workings of FC than mine. I base that on your previous posts and their content, which alludes to your involvement in the game.
That doesn't give you the right to insult people by suggesting, as you have on other threads, that they are ignorant and have no knowledge of the game, just because their view does not conform to yours.
We all want to see FC become a real force in the game (again), we just have different views on how that is best achieved. On a discussion forum, they are all valid.

I don't think anyone has accused Agar of being to blame for everything and I agree that him going wouldn't cure all of our problems, but that isn't any kind of reason for him to keep his job. While there are never any guarantees, given the squad that we have, if Agar was replaced with a better coach it is extremely likely that things on the pitch would improve significantly, along with our chances of success in the future.
I realise I'm leaving myself open to accusations of arrogance here, but there is a common mistake people make about the difference between having a right to an opinion and that opinion being [ivalid[/i. It's like when people make daft claims about the various things the players do wrong that the coach 'can't do anything about', they are entitled to say it in the same way that they are entitled to say black is white if they want to, but it isn't a [ivalid[/i opinion because it has no basis in logic or fact. The same principle applies to the Agar debate, as I explained in my global warming analogy.

It seems that way but I guess it all depends on the performance tomorrow. Forgetting if you think he should or shouldnt go for a minute I think he would be gone after a dire performance tomorrow (i.e. not a battling loss like Wigan). The only reason I say that is we have two big home games (as far as this season goes anyway) in the next couple of weeks. Again like it or not I think crowds/money would then start talking and wouldnt want to see the barrage of "abuse" that would be recieved like at the end of the last home game.
