| Thats the thing, Agar's teams have done this before, put in a gallant (losing) performance against a top four side and then got beaten (often by Wakey) in an awful performance the next week.
We have a spell of 6 winnable games coming up before going to Warrington. We need at least 4 from 6 to pull ourselves up the table.

| We should take a lot out of today's result, albeit it's disappointing to surrender a lead and not take advantage of the sending off and a last minute penalty.
I'm pretty sure most Hull fans would have expected a defeat today and by a far higher margin than two points. We need to bounce back on Friday and the next few games offers the chace to move up the table.
I'm always proud to be a Hull fan even if I'm not always proud of the club.

The thing you are forgetting BB is people are so blinded by their anti Agar thoughts they don't see a spirited and positive performance when it's in front of them. Washbrook knocked on when we had all the momentum behind us, Agar didn't miss the kick at the end to grab a point but yet it's all his fault.

I am not bothered about losing Dan as long as we put the effort in and we did today, and if we carry on with performances like that we will not be too far off imo. However Agar picks the team and Washy is pants and should not even be in the team so I can understand the frustration of some of the fans.

I don't think this causes for a huge over reaction by some but it needs to be asked why we couldn't win when Wigan went down to 12. The discipline is bad and it appears to be what has undone us today that is something which Agar should be responsible for IMO.

Do the player take no responibility in all this? it everything just Agar's fault, then?
Did Agar knock on from the play the ball when we had the momentum? No, did Agar miss the kick that would've got us a draw at the end? No, did Agar try and offload the ball after being in the air from a tackle and knock on? No. You said after the Hudds game you'll support the player and clap them off after the game, the problem is you're being so blinded by wanting Agar gone you're blaming him for players mistakes on the pitch. It's pathetic.

| Fantastic performance today from Hull and if they can back that up you'll be a very good team.
Wigan got away with it today plain and simple.

Exactly, we won't be too far off at all IF we perform like that on a regular basis. Basic errors have cost us today rather than the coach, like most I'd be happy to see the back of Agar but today the players lost the game for us rather than Agar.

That's true, Pete. But the blame has to go both ways, Washbrook knocking on from the play the ball after Tomkins had gone and missing a vital kick at goal right at the end can't be blamed on Agar, either. We should've won that game, especially when they went down to 12 but I'd look at the players before Agar.

For the three years of Agar's reign poor on-field discipline, bad decision making and persistent errors have been pretty much constant features of our game. Despite signing or re-signing every one of these players and working with them every day, Agar hasn't been able to improve on these deficiencies. Where is the sense in trying to exonerate Agar when the players continue to perform like this? Do you seriously think a better coach wouldn't improve these areas of our/their game?

I'm not trying to exonerate Agar at all and yes I do think a better coach would improve these areas too, I'm saying the blame has to be shared. Agar has to take responsibilty as the coach but the players, equally, have to take their share of the blame. Washbrook shouldn't be knocking on in those areas either, there's not much Agar can do at that time, the players should be better than that.
