| I think Kath plays a big part in the financial success and stability at the club. As we all know her PR and public speaking are not her greatest asset but she is a hard nosed no nonsense businesswoman who manages a business within its means. Not like the last Hull City chairman or the green eyed chairman of a rival local super league side. Well done Kath

Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune. But do not distress yourself with imaginings.
Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness. Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself.; [/color:1g6itio7][/b:1g6itio7]:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_663.jpg |

The club have done very well in face of the recession and some very bad results last year, on from 2008s ( Wembley excepted ) poor pitch performances. The day to day running of the club is down to Sir JAMES RULE I reckon and credit where credit is due I think he's doing a brill job.

| Hull Fc have to be applauded for the way they have turned in a profit in a sport that doesn't exactly lend itself to profit making. breaking even seems to be an achievement very few teams can manage.
I thought this coming year could have been a challenging year for you lot after the disappointments of 2 years of underperforming (wembley aside). It could have taken a big outlay to get a team capable of performing and a potential hit in season passes to turn a few fans around. But credit where credit is due the signing of Long was a master stroke from a PR/marketting point of view (one mans spin is another mans PR) and it managed to focus the fans view point on the future rather than the past, sell a lot more passes and moved on a lot of merchandise.
The marketting of the new signings and rebranding of some of the existing (the Tongan mafia thing) has been very well done and generated interest when it would have been easy for the fans to dwell on the negatives. Obviously this needs to be backed up by performances on the pitch and getting off to the start you have will have been a massive relief to the board at Fc. The way FC run their marketting / shop must be benchmark in our sport, certainly it is somewhere we need to look at and learn, we are a way behind FC in years in the SL but we need to be showing at least some improvement on this revenue stream.
So although it pains me to do so (it doesn;t really as I wouldn't want any RL club to suffer financially) well done FC (just hope the wheels com off on the pitch tonight )

Any truth in the rumour that rovers were planning to market wheeldon and cooke as the longhill mafia but changed their minds when they had a visit from the real longhill mafia?

44592_1267285924.jpg With typical under-statement, Saints coach Mick Potter said: "Sean Long didn't surprise me. We all know how good he is and he should be happy with the way he went." | Well you cannot knock it really can you. I agree if we have a winning season this year the fans will turn up even more and we could be in for another profit, might be small but still any profilt is great to have.
Well done everyone assocaited with Hull Fc in making this happen, including the fans.

| The fans deserve some credit in all of this for sticking by the team. Hopefully we can be as successful on the pitch in the next few years even if it means breaking even financially.

Dont be disillusioned either, Jimmy Rule and the board fully appreciate that it couldnt have happened without the loyal fanbase that we have.

19862_1323383936.jpg This is Poorhouse Lane. And this is Neil, the rovers supporter who leads an exciting double life. For when Neil sponsors RLFANS an amazing transformation occurs. [color=#80BF40:1y1okols]Neil is Cabbageman[/color:1y1okols]. Ever alert for the call no injury too small!

| An half decent season and surely it will be club of the year 2010,
On another note its refreshing to see our directors not slating rival clubs. I was at the safer schools partnership event run by HCC/Humberside police and John Flatman was doing a peice on the FC community programme and all the way through it he was biggin up Hull City and Hull KR for providing exactly the same chances to all the children of Hull and the East Riding.
Well Done Fc and I am sure the new 18th Man programme will sell very well. What I like about the club is if you talk to Clarky,John,James,Tony etc they alllove the club and are will to listen to your suggestions for future ideas to help the club.
