The squad is looking much stronger than 2008/2009 on paper and regardless of worries over Agar's coaching credentials we should have a much better season.
Top two might be pushing it, I'd be happy with a top four finish and a realistic crack in the play offs.

I'm glass-half-full, but people need a reality check IMO. Fewer injuries should help, as should upweighting the quality of the squad, but TBH I'd swap Agar for pretty much any other coach in the competition. Predicting top 6 when Warrington and Wigan are likely to improve and Catalans showed their worth in the play-offs is just giddiness. I'm as excited as anyone to see Long and Fitz etc in the irregular hoops and looking forward to the new season, but the introduction of 3 new players plus Lauaki isn't going to catapult us from 12th to 4th when the same inability to gameplan, select and rotate is present. Really hope I'm wrong, mind.

I hear what you are saying but along with the newbies we should hopefully see much more of Washbrook, Briscoe and Cusack who all missed at least half of last season. |

is he mad! I reckon we'll be in the 5th-8th battle for the final playoff places
there are doubts over our coach, doubts about whether Horne still is a top stand off, a young backline and if Long gets injured that's out lot for a kicking game and creativity.
our pack should win most battles this season, but I still have my doubts about our squads versatility if a key player like Long gets a lengthy injury.
