It was along the lines of not been interested in what people who hide behind pseudonyms think. And that he would sooner guage the opinions of the more direct contact that he receives.

It's true! Hutchie's opinions are ALWAYS the most valid! To be fair, I reckon I'd prefer it if we all gave our real names. I can't see the players hunting people down tbh!

I'm not for one moment suggesting that the club should use the board in their decision making process, but I do think it provides a useful snapshot of the overall mood of the fans.

It was more rhetorical than anything. Although it could have been directed at you as you said Rule's statement was 'fair comment'.

FWIW, I don't think it is fair comment. I don't see the difference between John Smith posting that he thinks the whole Reardon thing was a mess or, for example, 'Smiggy' posting the same thing.

I thought this was interesting too as the question was sent by my two sons using my email address (so he had the real names of all three of us though only read out mine.)
As the question related to the players, if they used it at all, I would have thought it would have been Lee Radford that answered it. More pertinent was there was a second question on the same email which - despite answering the first on behalf of the players - he chose to ignore....pasted below from my kids' original....

To be fair I have spoken on a couple of occasions to James Rule in the past and do have a genuine regard for him, but with his Reardon answer last night and the news this morning I think he needs a new PR advisor...I am currently unemployed so if he wants to PM me....but then again...he won't be reading this...
