Never rated him as anything more than average abaility wise but his effort and attitude on the pitch is something that most of our squad should take note of. Sad for him to leave us this way

Before you go can you please can you tell a few of the other players about playing with the passion, effort and pride in the shirt that you showed. It may rub off.

Not the gretatest of players and probably not the best of signings at the time but, always gave 100% and you can't ask for more than that.

all the best todd, 1 of my fave players over the last year, always gave 100%, will be missed... hope the recovery goes well and good luck in life.

He wasnt the greatest player but i thought he was under-rated imo and got some unfair flak of some people on here, he scored plenty of tries and was very solid in defence he also proved what a good player he was just before he got injured a very good utitly player

would just like to say though that todd byrne was a true professional and will be missed by all the boys around brantingham etc...a good bloke to boot...i still remeber the tackle on darrell goulding (i think) against wigan earlier in the season...what a bell-ringer that was....hurt himself in the process aswell which showed what a guy he was..always put others first.....
im sure his face will be missed around the weir etc...and im sure i speak for all associated with the club when i say.....all the best skinny...
