| Fitzgibbon was mom, imo, gleeson was very solid in defense, Whiting (wrong position) never put a foot wrong and Obst ran the midfield.
better team won, cant argue with the facts.

Saw Monaghan's opener, Houghton's and Yeamo's 2nd try. Very brief.

| Got to love Murdoch calling Fitz "lazy" for coming off with 2 minutes to go.

Love the picture of Joel Monaghan rolling over onto his back in front of the ref. He must of been hoping for a tummy tickle, woof woof

| Just reading through this thread shows how misleading radio commentary can be. Did Humberside, at any point, mention Horne and Obst being clotheslined with no action taken by the ref? Can only see our indiscipline mentioned.

| There was a lot of questionable head high shots/lazy shots, nothing to serious but nevertheless fairly regular. I thought the ref had set a precedent when he did Yeaman early for hitting Westwood but we didn't get anything back. Think they were just tired rather than malicious which tells you all you need to know about our performance.
How much class has Whiting got, effortless every time the ball went near him. Played a back 3 role/sweeper position as fine as anyone could have done, even Wire fans have commented on it on thier boars. Agar's tactics to bring him inside at regular periods whilst Gleeson took a breather for once has to be commended too.
The words Agar and tactics don't often go, but credit where its due.
The only down side was the kicking game, which in the first quarter was as bad as anything ive seen from us.

I have said it before , Rich Whiting is as important to our squad as Fitzgibbon, I forsee a time he may well be captain too

certainly agree not only his verstility but the quality in which he performs in any posistion makes him as you say as inportant as anyone in the squad and yeh 1 day could become captain would love the club to hand him a 3-4 year contract
