CBA reading the thread, but it was a pretty terrible show. Why they felt the need to construct a (poorly) organised attack against Griffin, I don't know. It was so narrowly focused on issues on which Griffin's views were hardly going to be revelatory to the general public that it was bereft of purpose. It should have just been a normal episode, with a much wider range of topics, and the sneering, racist would have shown himself up much more than the weak panel managed to.

As it was, he won't have convinced anyone who wasn't already certain what to think that he's an odious prick and he might well have gained sympathy from some who will have seen him as the underdog/target of bullying. A pity because it was a real opportunity to demolish the BNP and ensure that they wouldn't get votes from disillusioned supporters of others parties.

Luckily, Griffin is a terrible orator and leader. With someone with a little more intelligence in charge (probably not going to happen, as most with even a little more intelligence wouldn't go near them or their views), they could be a very dangerous group. Fortunately, it looks like the country is recovering enough that their scaremongering and spreading of hate won't be too effective by the time of the next election.

As a point - if you don't believe something don't say it - really simple idea

I'm all for reedom of speech - this allows people to listen to opinions and views and form their view.

So if you agree in Democracy and freedom of speach does this mean that you are Ok with 'people' preaching the values of Sharia Law... would be very interested in your view

Well said Denbo !!!!! Unfortunately, you're not allowed to have concerns about the future of your country. You're not allowed to question why some people are here when they clearly detest us, our country and our lifestyle. You're not allowed to agree with some (not all) of what Nick griffin says. You're not allowed to argue with all these politically correct sheep who jump onto the nearest and easiest bandwagon.
