| Quote: PAUL M "Let's judge on last season as he was told (I believe) that he now had his team and it was time for excuses to stop. He had us around 4th all season and we eventually finished 6th. He can therefore go the board and say job done. So on that basis he has to improve us again and so judging him on two games would be unfair.'"
I'm not judging him on two games, I'm judging him on nearly three years. Yes, we finished in 6th last season, but the same shortcomings in our play were evident (and are still evident). We improved our league position last year because some of the players were better, and because we underachieved so badly the previous two seasons. Obviously, Agar recruited the players and deserves credit for that, but he hasn't got them playing to anything like their potential and I don't really think he ever has (or will).
The more time Agar is given, the more chance there is that this season will be yet another write-off before the board act. Add to that the fact that Nobby is available now and won't be forever. I don't know whether he's the answer, but he's a massive step up from Agar. If he's snapped up before Agar gets the push, we'll be left with very few options before the end of the season.

In our last 10 competative games we have won 3 lost 7, wins coming against, Crusaders, london and the Dobbins.
We have only scored an average of 16 points in those games yet conceded 27.
Enough said. Bye Bye Rich.

I don't disagree with any of that tbh I have already said I would go for Noble. All I am saying is regardless of the three year scenario, last season he was given a target and achieved it. So on that basis he gets to go again this season, okay he has not started well but we are only two games in.

I am sure part of last seasons target would have been to win at least one play-off game for a club our size and the singings we made tbh.

| Quote: PAUL M "I always believe you start the season off fresh so imo judging on top games is too little. Agar had to improve us last year and we went from finsihing 12th to finishing 6th which in my book is good progress regardless of the style of play.
The other thing is I believe if we got rid of him then we would end up with Webbo for the rest of the season before they appointed a new coach (I don't think they would go for Noble) and I don't see Webbo being any better. People did not like the fact he got a contract so early last season which I agreed with and I also don't agree with him being sacked so early into this season.'"
I don't believe that the fact that no better replacement can e found in the short term is a reason to keep agar. Getting rid is a statement of intent. It's a statement that things aren't good enough, that the club acknowledges it and that there is a desire to imrpove

My own issue would be that Webbo does a half decent job and then gets offered it full time and we are back to square one.

Webbo has to go for me and the conditioner, I would like the new coach to bring in his own team.

It just seems a bit of a strange philosophy - let's ignore all the bad things because we finished 6th last season. Let's give him even more time despite the fact that things haven't really improved at all since he took over. I think it's a massive mistake to look solely at the last season's league position when assessing a coach's ability (unless, perhaps, that league position was 1st).

Maybe it is but that's what happened (I was told). You have your side now show us what you can do. Okay the rugby was not great but we challenged for the top four all season.

agreed, its quite clear that the rot has set in...and a mass cler-out is whats required...not to promote staff from within a regime which is quite clearly not upto the task....

| Well, I've just about got over Friday night, the feeling of despondency was overwhelming, you just know we are not gonna challenge this season with this set up.
I love reading these posts, but in my opinion the board at F.C. will not release Richard Agar from his position unless we lose at least another 8 on the trot, they really are backing him 100% and any talk of a new coach is just a pipe dream. I make this assumption after speaking to James Rule (for the best part of an hour), and I'm finding it hard to get any enthusiasm to attend the next game, I'm certainly not going to Hudds.

I think you have it right, they will back him all the way and I am expecting a lot of spin coming from the club and their cohorts on here and in the media. The call will be loyalty and faithfullness, appealing to the fans deep sense of "IAKOW" we are renowned for.

People won't fall for the spin any more and we expect something in return for our loyalty and faithfulness.
Time for the club to deliver!
