Brown on crutches would offer more than Patton.

Quote: Jake the Peg "Quite relaxed about this one. If we win then great, a day out at Wembley and a good payday for the club but well, get well beat by saints. Lose and I think well have a better chance of reaching our first grand final in a long time so for me I wont lose too much sleep if we don't win saturday'"

I echo that sentiment.
Having won twice at Wembley recently I'm keen for us to end our record of only having been to one grand final. Given recent experience of we get to Wembley the rest off the season will be a write off so even though I want us to win on Saturday I wont be distraught if we don't, just as long as we don't capitulate.

Wonder who will get allocated the old, run down, leaking, portacabin changing room and toilets that’s at the back of the stadium with a 3 min walk to get in.

Leeds got it last year.

Hope they put you lot in it, be like 12 points start for us. icon_biggrin.gif

I wouldn’t be against a civic reception if we keep Warrington under 236 points.

You'll have to try and get the ball first. That is where Hull loose games. Momentum swing or momentum from the start against Hull. It's happened repeatedly over and over all season. When on a roll Hull are great in attack but pants in defence.

Quote: Mrs Barista "100% this. No bad outcome from a results perspective

I can’t believe what I’m reading
If you were Churchill we’d all be speaking German

Do you seriously really believe losing a CC semi final is not a bad outcome ?

I’m utterly lost for words

You finally have taken your own mediocrity to new depths

So if we lose to a last minute drop goal you still feel it’s ok
If we lose 48-4 you still feel it’s not a bad outcome

Please reconsider your statement

Losing a CC semi final is gut wrenching
It’s the worst feeling in the world
I would cry if we lose
Sulk for 1-2 days

Let’s have some Boris Johnson optimism

With you on this. Am ambivalent on the result as my favourite and 2nd favourite SL clubs are involved. One reaches the final making 7 times this has occurred in the past 10 seasons(including one with both). I believe it is Saint Helens year for the CC and have consistently said we will be at OT.

Will lose a little sleep as TV of the match will finish about 0100 hrs and I may also stay up to watch an hour or so of the St Helens Halifax game which immediately follows ours.

Weather forecast for tomorrow looking a bit worse, 50% of rain right through the game according to the Met Office.

Not good news for us.

Warrington 8/13, FC 7/4. Sounds about right.

For me Jake, if we’re in a semi final we play to win it and deal with the final if we get there.
The same rules of course apply to the Grand Final if we get there.
If we do, the likelihood is we’d be playing Saints in both finals.
So I can’t understand why it would be a relaxing to not make Wembley for fear of certain defeat but then somehow expect a different outcome in the other ?
I’d rather be at both and lose both, rather than not be there at one because it augers well for the other ?

I’m totally with you on craving a Grand Final again, but I’d still rather have 2 pops at them and lose, rather than think we can avoid a beating at Wembley by not being there, but somehow be good enough to get the prize At Old Trafford.

Featherstone 83 and John Kears Sheffield both showed that turning up as huge underdogs can be worthwhile.

On our day we know we are really good. I’ll be going in believing it’s our day. Starting tomorrow.
