I think (hope) there's an element of the club doing the right thing by Sneyd. I don't think he was in our plans beyond next year and with Salford offering him some security we haven't stood in his way and I think that's probably a good move for everyone involved. I think Gale will go alright for us but I see him as a stop gap signing before we bring in a big name next year. |

I'm told that we have an aussie half back lined up, but he cannot be here until 2023.

Well we can dream , can't we? Any one of them would do, but there's no chance of any of them coming over, Drinkwater has done his reputation the power of good last season and Brooks is a wanted man, according to the Aussie television. That's not to say we won't sign an overseas half , but it may well be of the Lovodua type, promising but not yet established. I'd go for a kiwi, if there any available, we have always had good value from them and they seem to settle much easier.
I honestly didn't see anything during games that says Mcnamara will cut it at SL level, I hope I am wrong and he must have something about him, everyone seems to be impressed, so maybe it is just a case of him growing into the role , but I seriously doubt we have a star in the making. |

A kid called Jock Madden is ooc at the end of next season. Done well in the nsw cup for the Magpies the last few seasons.
Hodgson will know him from his time at Wests, but thunk we'd be lucky to get him too.
We'll pick up someone on the fringes of an NRL team in their mid 20s. A decent aussie reserve grade player. |
