| It looks like now Radford’s job is on the line, and the threat of relegation, he has turned to Ellis.
He didn’t in last years safety bubble , of a winless , injury ravaged run !

| Retired too early should have carried on and the released Mini giving us an extra quota spot.
Let's hope Raulago goes well, then we have a non quota winger with 50% Of his salary off cap to replace Talanoa next season

| I've got mixed feelings about this.
On one hand he's great leader and will add some much needed aggression. A year of rest may have done him good.
On the other I don't want him back a shadow of the great player he was tarnish his reputation and make a fool of himself like Peacock did.

It clearly shows the pressure that is now on Radford
That said 30 minutes off the bench of Ellis is much better than 30 minutes of any of the reserve players we have.
I hope it comes off but still see Radford sacked/leaving before Easter

I would have the Sika Manu as the starting front row with Masi allowing Dean Hadley to play his normal position.Hadley will also bolster the defence on the right edge.
Paea and Ellis off the bench.Having Gaz on the bench just might give Paea the kick up the bum he needs
Looks like Ratu will play so needs Tuimavave with him.
Pity Albo isnt fit as that would have given us the chance to move Connor back to right centre and Griffin onto the bench.

It does seem like desperate times. Bringing a player out of retirement instead of playing one of his own singings in Levy who was specifically signed for scenarios like this where we need "a thick squad". That said, Ellis will still probably be our best forward.
Even the way the squad news article is written on HullFC.com... "Hull are without no fewer than nine senior players..." really? Only 4, maybe 5 would be in the 17. Its as if we're preparing excuses before we even start.

| Ellis is an inspirational figure and player and will give us something we have lacked since he retired and that is a genuine leader. When he was on the pitch he drove the players around him on they played that extra percentage, no one has taken on that mantle not have we replaced this in the squad. To be quite honest we seem to have gone back to a team loaded mainly with average players which hasn't been improved by the signings of MDJ, Thompson or Nzoungou (no disrespect) but they are not going to improve us from the position we are in.
What is really indicative and pretty much confirms what is already pretty obvious is how poor the recruitment really has been that even after a year out he is still a better option to have in the 19 (possibly the 17) than anyone else we have in the current squad.

Chris71, As you say a truly inspirational leader, magnificent in fact, on this occasion I can’t blame the club for trying to turn back time.

not really is it you cannot ever compare Jamie peacock to gaz ellis one was a decent super league player were as ellis was world class and will still inspire the players around him just with his presence on the field a true leader and still will be (plus he,s better than out else we have at the moment) here,s hoping

| What an effing joke this club has become
Not playing either Levy or Langtree when times like this is why they was signed says either theyre not good enough or the club dont want to play them for salary cap reasons - either way it was pointless bringing them in
Radford needs to go asap as hes finished as a head coach. He had one trick that worked for two years with a lot of help from Tonys recruitment and Ellis already been here - Without those two we are utterly useless
