Is there any particular reason we couldn't have this game on a Boxing day in the future? Leeds & Wakey play that day, personally I'd rather watch a game on Boxing day than first week of Jan, and for some gets you out of going to the in-laws


I'm always up over Christmas period as likely would be many non Hull based fans visiting their families & watching a game with family when visiting would be nice after a 3 month drought, or is there prohibitive extra costs to ovpen it on a Bank Holiday?

Hopefully the doctor will be just a distant memory by Christmas 2015 and I agree with Knockerbumps for the first time ever. I use to love the boxing day derbies. Even if City where at home on a boxing day, we could always play the game at the Lightstream stadium. We just need the right company running the KC and giving us a break for once. Great idea.

I've floated the idea on the Hull kr forum that the game could possibly be moved to Boxing Day and only Hull born players could be included. A proper "Battle of Hull". Bit of a twist and easy to market I would have thought. Obviously we wouldn't stand a chance of winning given your monopoly of local talent, but you just never know...

No offence, but that's a rubbish idea. I like the Boxing Day aspect though.
