| Having watched FC's last two games from a neutral point of view, you are clearly missing Holdsworth creativity and LEADERSHIP to get you around the field, but what really stood out for me was when the game was in the balance in the early stages of the second half you've capitulated. Poor defence and a lack of belief going forward to go onto win the game - I would class you as a workmanlike side at best. The intercept try was created due to the passing right to left being unbelieveable slow - a schoolboy team would have been disappointed. Sorry to reach top 6 you need improve big time - Wigan, Wire, Saints, Catalans, Leeds and Huddersfield are way ahead of you. Your fighting with Bradford, Wakefield, Widnes and Rovers for 7 and 8 - good realistic thread.

| In 2009 after five games we were unbeaten and second in the league. We finished 12th.
Last season was a wobbly start - threw away a win at home to Warrington, scrambled a home win over London (who had been battered by Wire and beaten by Saints) then we got beat by Salford. We then won six on the bounce.
Last night was terrible but one poor defeat does not neccessarily mean we will struggle to make the play offs.

| We will finish in the top 8 but for me its looking like were seeing improvement in all areas and getting some consistency to our game. Finishing 7th or 8th wouldnt cut it for me.

| Quote: UllFC "the big difference between 2006 and now is that Sharp came in and took a side that had won a trophy the year before, and had finished 5th in the league in 2005 and 3rd in 2004 and improved both the defence and the confidence and got them back in form.
this side hasn't beaten an SL side in the cup for 5 years, and hasn't consistently been at the races in Super League since we finished 4th in 2007...its not as though we are just going through a rough patch and will re-discover old glories, some of the these players have never played consistently well.'"
Far better squad in 2006 as well imo, and we had a real leader in Mr Swain!

| Let's all relax, it's all too easy to get caught up in the emotion that comes with that kind of performance. 10 games is the rule of thumb for getting a good idea of your top 6. 8th can be won on the last day.

| OH he is binned ! and all his staff !
Sharks played very well last year and gave Storm one hell of a game in Melbourne I recall.
Could Pearson do a Southampton and fire Gentle ala Nigel Adkins ? Just for the greater long term good ?
Has Pearson spent up ? What about the salary cap we haven't spent on Prince ?
