Amazing isn't it, people will attend a testemonial event for a player who has earned over 60K a season for a long time, yet they begrudge spending £57 on a shirt, which probably equates to £20 profit that pays said players wages etc.

what i am saying is that no matter how many or how good the shirts are, they will be sold in vast numbers at excessive cost to fans.. and thats a fact.... hence why they try to shift 3!!!! shirts in one season.......
totally unneaded IMO... and to charge over £40 a throw is bordering on an insult.....
so lets put it in context...... season pass £230, home shirt £45, away shirt £45, "magic" shirt £45... total : £320......
and lets be honest, fc have afew donuts who will buy all 3 shirts.....

It might not go directly but it all goes towards the club. A club that is a business. Now if you want bucket collections like we did for Bradford, or want a foreign knight in shinning armour like Salford or simply want us to merge again with another bankrupt club then stick to your stance. That is the stark reality of sport in today's world.
Nobody complains when they release yet more T shirts, shorts, fridge magnets, packets of over priced but branded sweets. This shirt is simply another item that you can choose to purchase or not.
I have bought one, but that's a relief to me as I don't like our kits this year. Personal choice.

| Quote: K-Diddy "If you don't like it don't buy it, it really is that simple. Yes 3 shirts in 1 season is a bit excessive but the club arnt making anybody buy anything, but extra merchandise
4 shirts as there will be a charity one for a random game and you could even include Yeamo's shirt and call it 5 at a push.
Quote: K-Diddy "i wont be buying it, dont you worry.. thing is, fc know that they will shift any old shirts in mass at excessive cost to the punters, they dont really give a shi$ about fans.....'"
Maybe they do give a shi%, maybe there has been a lower then expected uptake on the purchase of shirts this season, i know myself and a fair few others are not inspired by the home or away shirts this year but like the look of the magic one and have or will purchase one because of that.
However as K-Diddy above points out, you don't need to purchase one.

The club has to at least break even, all wasy of raising revenue have to be considered. If you don't want one don't buy it, all the club are doing is giving you another product.
Sold 450 now.

| Lee Jenks has actually tried to get a one off shirt for the Magic Weekend ever since the concept was brought in, its only now that the RFL have approved!

| Great idea, I might have gone for it if I didn't have the home shirt (which I quite like). I buy a shirt every 3/4 years depending on styles. The irregular hoops I have and now a V style, they will become retro eventually and people who buy this will have a cool Hull shirt for the future.
I don't see a problem? It would only be unfair on fans if this replaced the home kit for the season, which it isn't. This is a one off momento, buy or don't buy, it's really that simple!

If fans can afford all three then why not. It's the fans choice to buy whichever shirt they want, in fact your not even obliged to buy any shirt or a season pass or even support the club you love. Unfortunately I could only afford the home shirt this season but I would not hesitate to buy the Magic shirt if funds allowed. I like to be given choice and Hull are doing that. How would Next survive if they only retailed one shirt in their store.

As I said, you really do have a low opinion of your fellow fans. You seem to think they're all mugs incapable of making an informed decision for themselves.

You realise that there are costs associated with signing players that don't count on the cap? Or that the club has other costs - training facilities for one - that don't count on the cap? In your world we should stop trying to make money once we hit the cap limit?
Deary me.
