| Quote Robbo4="Robbo4"Well as predicted things are getting a bit nasty between the fans regarding Agar now. A few fans had Agar Out T-Shirts on and were on the receiving of a bit of abuse they ended up leaving the stand to boos and chants of "loyal supporters". The irony is these same fans had been having a go at the players earlier in the half. I just don't get it. They have the right to voice their opinion regarding and it's an opinion lots of fans share. Just because they choose to show it at again does not make them any less of a fan. Some people need to grow up.'"
I was in the etihad stand, but wondered why they had been kicked out. I assumed that it must have been for aggro, but I said to my mate that they have every right to stand up for what they believe in.

| Quote Ian P="Ian P"Things like this will drive more supporters away, its not worth the aggro at the end of the day, I have never booed my team or my fellow supporters. FC supporters we all are and we should respect each others views, we do not throw insults and derision at each other. Fans who do that are not loyal fans they are beyond contempt, the fans wanting Rich Agar out are aiming there campaign at the board not other fans.
FC may think they are winning the battle, taking down banners and coming down hard on dissent its almost Gaddafi like. They are slowly draining the life blood out of the club and for what, a coach who already knows the writing is on the wall.
FC won against a team that Warrington tonked 82 - 6 its a start sure, but lets get excited when we have beat Leeds, Saints and Wire away.
Reality check time.............................'"
Ian generally speaking I agree with this and most of what you put, but without sounding like Ja Rule Quins have done 2/3rds of what you ask for this season, Leeds and Sts away. We have gone to their back yard and come away with a very spirited victory at a place we hardly ever win.
Its a small start and I believe a sign that the players are behind the coach. If they are to a man then we can see things grow. A couple of back to back victories and we will see confidence grow. Unfortunately at the moment its very fragile. The crowd is hostile and the players anxious. We were 10 mins away from mass cries of Agar out yesterday but the players responded and so did the fans.
Demonstrations during a game do not help the players. Equally censorship from the club is a massive no no. Those responsible should be ashamed of themselves. That can undo years of great off field work. That is the danger now.

Yeah - comparing the actions of the club to those of a murderous dictator is in no way going completely OTT.
Really.

To quote it as it is yes however, the analogy was meant to mean 'free speach and democracy, which we all have.
I don't personally agree with what they did and all the agro that this causes is pretty ridiculous. One way or the other these events are not going to please everyone, why don't people just get behind the team for once.
As for the Gadaffi scenario, nothing we have to endure is anywhere near what those poor people are going through - it's not even on this planet.

I'd guess the local stewards for public safety if there was actually bother starting because of it. Wouldn't think it's censorship by the club.

| I think people know what Ian meant with his analogy but as usual it is getting blown out of proportion. Whether people agree with "Agar Out" or "Agar In" each group has the right to let their feelings be known. However if they are being abusive with their protest they should be stopped.
The fact our club are doing everything in their power to remove any visible signs of unrest is creating a divide amongst the supporters and that is not a good thing to be creating. I have been protesting against Agar in my own way for a long time however I always get behind the team come game time. For some reason certain people just assume if you are anti Agar you do not support the team.

The big banner was causing no bother at all. It was placed at the back of the stand and causing no harm to anyone. The steward who took it down explained our club had requested it to be taken down. So nothing to do with public safety, more to do with protecting the clubs image in public.

Ah ok then. If the club have requested it to be taken down and the steward has got that right then that really is pretty poor by Hull FC.
