were talking about nobby who was a GB captain, british lion , England international with umpteen cups and trophys to his name as both a player and coach versus Agar a frikkin centre from dewsbury or somewhere wanst it who allegedly won a kareoke competition in Batley when he was 9 years old ???
bit of a uneven balance in experience me thinks... nobby would have done just fine

May as well have Len Casey assisted by Peter Walsh.

| I would not sack Agar this season, pointless really as we won't get a top coach half way through a season. Let Agar see the season out but actively look now for a replacement for next season.
As for names:-
Tim Sheens
Neil Henry
John Cartwright
Jason Taylor
Des Hasler
Jim Dymock
Stephen Kearney
Just to name a few.

because once again a shocking performance against a poor poor team and once again we aint learned from our mistakes like we were supposed to after the crusaders BLIP. great stadium, great facilites, great youth set up, best team of the field in super league, talented bunch of players but a average coach holding us back. look at wigan and huddersfield now just proves what a top class coach can do. does that answer your question ?

Couldn't agree more. However, the chances of FC trying to get any of these is minimal if recent appointments are anything to go by. We are an A license club with a C category coach. I sent an e-mail into the Tell Us thing last year saying that with the salary cap evening up squad quality, the coach is a key differentiator and we should be looking at spending some of our profit on one because the way FC fans respond to a bit of success (eg shirt sales for Wembley 200icon_cool.gif would pay back the investment. The reply I got was that it was the players that were the differentiating factor and not the coach. Given our recent appointments in the coaching area, I'd be amazed if it wasn't Moore on a one and a half year deal.

if we lose a few more games Agar's position would be untenable, and our gates would suffer. It would be better to put Moore in charge and relieve the pressure on the club.
that said if we do win both games this weekend i'd be willing to give him a bit more time, if he's able to turn it round from a shocking display to 2 big wins then i'll give him some respect...Can't see anything other than 2 defeats though however.

taylor or dymock would be the only 2 we'd have a chance of getting.
IMO the best person to get who hasn't got a job as a first grade coach is Andrew Johns, never going to happen though.
I hope we get hanley with offiah as his number 2. At least it would be entertaining!

| I'd take Ian Millward, good coach IMO who likes to play good attacking rugby, would get the best out players like Hall and Washbrook.
Didnt do well at Wigan, but wasn't given the time IMO.
Look at the improvment of leigh, last season they finsihed near the bottom and should have been relegated, this season they are unbeaten in the league and have juts beaten Halifax by 30 plus points in their won ground.
I am sure that he will have a clause in his contract that would allow him to leave Leigh for a SL club.

I'm not to sure about millward tbh.
Didn't he leave both saints and Wigan in strange circumstances?
Were not going to get a current nrl coach unless there told their contract won't be renewed.
The same old names will be thrown up, Murray, folkes etc, but IMO we have to do what Wigan and to a lesser extent hkr have done and go for a lesser known name who's building a good reputation.
Let's face it the board can't please everyone, fans will want a proven top coach from the nrl and we ain't gonna get one.
