| Quote TKOAH="TKOAH"I might get slated but Long just did what we brought him in to do, if you include him for that he'll be in the top 3 every week so we might as well just give him poty now.'"
What a bizarre comment. If he puts in a mom performance every week, he should be given the mom everyweek. That won't happen though, just because no two games are the same.

Long was a class apart.'"
No I agree Long was class but he'll be class whenever he is on the pitch and will get MOM plenty of times. Hame and Whiting in particular had excellent games and probably games they won't be able to repeat another 30 times this year, Long will.

| So hard to pick just three, but...
1. Fitz. Simply outstanding.
2. Long. What we've been missing.
3. Berro. Finally showed what we've been waiting to see from him.
Close 4th were Hame, Whiting, Tansey, O'Meley - then everyone else. Fantastic performance 1-17.

| Fitzgibbon, Long, Berrigan, and Lauaki were real stand-outs [ion the pitch[/i but, for me, the man of the match has to be Richard Agar.
The performance last night was all about the team. Sure Fitzgibbon, Long, and Berrigan were integral to that in terms of direction and leadership and the forwards were strong and aggressive as a unit, but for the first time in a long time we looked and played like a [iteam[/i.
We were balanced, motivated, confident, and enthusiastic. And Richard Agar must take a lot of credit for bringing all the pieces of the jigsaw together (including Dennis Moore) that resulted in perhaps the best team performance I have seen from a Hull side since the Stephen Kearney inspired 2005 Challenge Cup semi final win over Saints.
It's very early days and we still have a lot to prove but, based on that performance, I feel we have a lot to look forward to in 2010. I think we can afford to enjoy that performance and I think Richard Agar should take a lot of credit for the team he has brought together.

Good post agree with all of that. It doesn't mean we are invincible or that we will win anything but with the quality of player and the obvious superb team spirit on show optimism is justified.

Agreed. It doesn't mean we are going to play like that all season (although I hope we do) or that Agar will turn out to be the next Wayne Bennett (although I hope he does). But after two seasons of dissappointment and the wave of optimism and anticpation during the off season, this was a big game for the club and a big game for Agar.
Everyone connected with Hull FC needed the game to go well. And on this occassion the team, [ihis[/i team, delivered.
