cover at half back is a problem because if longs out can horne step up and lead the side around the park?

i'd guess that squad is a bit under the cap still and isn't good enough to win s/l so we'd have to sign a player who'd strengten the side, if a top centre became available i'd want us to strengthen the side but not to deny hall and tom briscoe. the same if tickle leaves if we signed another second rower it would be a bit of a slap in the face to burnett and hodgson.

Personally think a second halfback would help and give competition for places.

I think we need to give Hall, T.Briscoe, Burnett etc as much gametime as possible as i don't think they have looked out of place in a poor side so in a better side they in turn will look much better IMO. The whole point of franchise system is to promote youth.


Think we would be better giving our youngsters a couple of years eg like leeds persevered with burrow, jones buchanon etc to ensure the clubs long term future

We have plenty of cover in the halves, there's washy and whiting to cover Horne and tansey and berrigan to cover long. More than adequate IMO.

It won't matter, at least 5 players would have been seen drinking since then and we will be questioning their commitment. Plus we have a couple of injuries that will prop up over the pre-season.
