then in a year or so's time were back to this stage again.
Im prepared to give him the season, plus 10 games of next'"
I wouldn't give him another game mate, he has lost the plot, the dressing room and his man management is shocking

Its common knowledge that Wigan came in last minute to try and steal him from us. It wouldnt make much sense putting all that effort in and offering him peanuts compared to Hull would it?

just my thought of course.'"
Bollox mate, whether the squad is good enough and the players aern't up to it is irrelevant imo
He hasnt improved the players as individuals or collectiveley as a team this is down to him
Our ptb speed is disgusting, our spped of line is shocking, oiur set moves well we don't have any, we don't push through gaps,we don't have a 2nd phase or any support play
Thats down to the coach mate to implement them type of things bring a bit of a winning mentality in to the club, he can't do that and never will even with a new squad at his disposal
Maybe if they spent more time on the training park with the team and put the extra hours in trying to rectify the problems instead of doing half days, works for Justin they train till 4 ish most days look at the difference

Not arguing that fact mate. What I am saying is that FC Baldy stated Wigan offered more money for Long so why would he opt for Hull instead?

Who knows but he has........maybe didnt want to go to a club who got rid of him earlier in his career and maybe he didnt want to go there after 12yrs at Sts.

Point taken. ALl in all, a good signing for you. Can't see him giving you 2 good years but he will certainly do the business for you next season if the quality of the team improves around him.

According to Long he had made up his mind to sign for Hull on the back of what Agar had to say. Sounds like Agar sold him the club in some way?!?!
Wigans offer was clearly not as exciting to him as ours and Long is 'buzzing his t1ts off' to get to Hull.
Your dying to post that link to his book on here arent you?

Not at all mate. Just thought the book link was rather amusing.
IF you'd bothered reading my earlier post, think Long is a good signing for you.

| Just a thought but this same group of players (well nearly) have got rid of our last two coaches by playing poor one up rugby.
Maybe its time to let the coach stay and get rid of the players.
I agree that the coaching doesn't seem to be up to standard i.e. moves and substitutions line speed etc. but if the players know their on there way out do you really feel that they are going to gladly do any of this, especially if they are on good wages.
Certain posters on here have been saying for years we need a clear out of personnel and it looks like it might be happening yet you want the coach to go again?
What I say is give him his chance next year with his team and a proven communicator in the side something we haven’t had in a while.
The last two times Agar took temporary charge we did play expansive rugby under his tenure (maybe this fact is lost though due to the constant doom and gloom on here.) but both times he had a communicator in the side.
Agar is on a steep learning curve but thanks to the salary cap there shouldn't need to be panic sackings every Sodding year.
Do you think Morgan was instantly a good coach or D Anderson or add at you leisure.
People talk about Kearney coming back but he had a hell of a lot of help from a certain Mr Bennet in the world Cup.
Agar maybe isn't the finished article and I’m sure he knows this but I’d rather have a bit of stability at the club and see what happens.
Lastly a certain Mr Whiteley recently said all the guile has been coached out of our players by a succession of oz coaches. I tend to agree with him.
