| Excellent news. Saints will be a very tough ask, they are W19 L5 for the season.
To finish third in the U19s is a great achievement but of course the moaners will have nothing to say about it.

Agreed on all points.
That's a brilliant result in this context:
@dan_the18thman: No Logan, Fash, Downs, Abdull, Lancaster, Bower, Tyson-Wilson, or Liggins today. Smith also an unused sub. Huge effort that by Hull.

| Good result considering player we have missing due to injuries and 1st team calls against very big side.
i thought under 19's meant under 19 years of age. Think Lee Briers interpretation must be under 19 stones.

| It was freezing cold but a good turnout for the last ever home Under19's game saw a great ding dong match which we trailed 16-6 at half time, I don't know what Horney says at half time to these lads but on several occasions they have come out in the second half when they looked as if they were on the end of a drubbing and really fired as was the case today. Great performance though by an FC team that looked way smaller than the Warrington outfit good to see Lee Briers there too.

| Quote: UptheCream "Outstanding performance from Hull FC's Under 19s today, beating Warrington 26-24 at Bishop Burton to secure third spot. Jordan Lane - after the best part of a year out - was superb, Turgut was exceptional in the middle, and starting & interchange props brilliant. Top draw result that, bring on Saints in a fortnight!
Match review:
Quick question. 1st time I ever saw turgut I said 'future 1st teamer'. He was 1st to get a 1st team run. last few 19s he's been outstanding but fash downs etc all 1st team n he's not?

| Good result, but clearly not good enough. I think we should merge with KR's academy to make us better.

| Good performance against a big experienced side. No real stand outs but the pick was maybe Turget and Dean. To have any chance of progressing they need to get a few bodies and experience back.

| Good result and great to see us finish 3rd behind two very strong teams.
So what will be the policy in the play-offs? Will we see our first teamers return to the side and to give us the best possible chance at the final? That seemed to be the thinking at the start of the year but with the likes of Abdull and Logan settled in the side would it be in our best interests to drop them and make them available for the U19s?

Its a tough call for Radford. The goal after all for the younger players is too make the first team yet it would be good to field a full strength team for the under 19s play offs.
He cant win here whatever he does.

Completely agree finishing third is way below par where's Leeds?

| Sounds like a belting result against Warrington, especially as mentioned some of the senior players not in there.
I'd be very very surprised if JA was recalled back to the 19s, not without a replacement recognised halfback available for the 1st team. Logan possibly but depends on how important Radford sees the last few games and Logan's impact.
Would shoving any/all of the senior 19s in against Saints be a kick in the teeth for the lads they oust, whilst having a better shot at winning the 19s comp can that be balanced/sacrificed against potentially a better performance in the first team thus gaining a place up the ladder/more money/ending on a high note which is what many have said is all we have to play for?

| I reckon Radford will keep the youngsters in the first team rather then put them in against Saints if this article is anything to go on.
rlhttp://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/Hull-FC-ll-stick-kids-end-season-8211-Lee-Radford/story-27731725-detail/story.htmlrl
"The young lads are at a critical stage of their careers and I personally think it will be better for them and for us with next year in mind that they get that Super League experience," Radford told the Mail.
"We want to whet their appetite and have them coming back in pre-season all guns blazing to have more of it. I'd love the under-19s to win their competition and be as successful as they can, but the role of the 19s is to produce first-team players."

The Warrington team is anything but experienced. The last few weeks they have been playing with seven first year academy players as they did yesterday. The Warrington team listed on the Hull supporter's website linked to in this thread is wrong, both Jack Johnson and Sam Wilde didn't play as they are likely to be in first team 17 for today's game.
The St Helens v Hull semi should be a hell of a close game. I can't see the same for the other semi though although Warrington did turn Wigan over a few weeks back at home in a rather feisty encounter (read the disciplinary report for Bretherton on the RFL website) a few weeks previous to that Wigan put 70 on Warrington.
