Not to the extent that I'm seeing on social media, because I value rovers contribution to the game and this city, the game and the city would be nothing without the Derby games and I have lots of friends and family members who are rovers fans and I know what rovers means to them. Banter and rivalry is all part of the game but gloating and hoping a club goes bust is pathetic.

I think the fact we are spending the cap, investing in the youth, renewing contracts and recruiting for next season says things aren't as bad as being reported.
Who do we owe money to?'"

You are either young or are losing your memory. When we’ve had our difficult times comments from FC fans have been horrendous.

Both teams have fans like this, some are more bothered about the other team than there own, there are a few who have posted on this thread. A few really sad ones in Twitter too.

| Maybe mute the KR fans on this thread, and leave it to us, nothing gained having rovers fans gloating

| Could save a hell of a lot on wages with the players coming out of contract, anyone hazard a guess at what the following earn combined.
Mau................ Severs
Reynolds.......... Lovodua/Hookem
Houghton......... Balmforth
Shaul............... Litten
Bowden.......... Brown/Burrell
Johnstone....... Cator back fit/Staveley
We definitely have academy options, hopefully Shenton can get them first team ready.
I reckon we can save about 500k in cap on those listed at a very rough guess.

Lovodua will soon be a top earner
Agree about Houghton mau Reynolds bowden and Johnstone but they need to be replaced by better than that or we'd be in a relegation battle in no time with that squad
As Houghton can be replaced easy enough as lovodua and balmforth looks good

Yeah, this what I was going to post somewhere else, but I’ll put it here:
It looks like Hull FC are in some financial difficulty. I hope and expect that they’ll survive… with an inexpensive team that loses a lot for the foreseeable, ideally. But they’re a community asset/institution (as well as a commercial entity), same as Hull KR, and our frenemies. So no ill will.

| I guess this makes next week's game a massive one. I don't suppose the club would make much just from a semi given it's a double header but a Final appearance would be a boost.

Is Hodgson the new Griffin, or is it all about pace?: |

Loads about this on the interweb (income is a significant factor), here's a good one.....

| Hi Mrs Barista there's nothing I can say to match the gloom you have posted earlier in this thread and even less to match the gloom made public by Adam ('We can only look at Hull KR with envy') Pearson.
I'll not say anything you don't agree with. Hull have recently spent massive money on average or past it or injury prone players like Luke Gale, Josh Reynolds and Kane Evans so there's your problem.
It's quite simple, Hull keep chasing the dream by spending money they don't have.
The deal for Rovers to purchase Craven Park has been a prolonged process over several years under the astute leadership of Neil Hudgell. Rovers have kept within their budget, avoided losses and kept their eye on the bigger picture. We've had to accept a few years of bottom half rugby and even relegation but it's now paid off with the future of the club rock solid.
Don't be surprised if Rovers make a cash offer for Jake Connor. He's probably the only thing you have that anyone would pay money for.

7063.jpg "They supercede individuals, they supercede the team and they supercede the club. Our club is a traditional, working class club and the supporters are loyal and passionate and to see them go away happy really makes my day." Craig Sandercock.:7063.jpg |

| Regards the Financial situation Hull are in, Simply put it's terrible. Rugby League in this country needs two successful Hull sides. Rovers have certainly experienced the financial hardship yourselves haven't, It's certainly an awful feeling not knowing whether the club will be around on a week to week basis. What I'll add is that we are stronger for it now. Hull will be okay you're too big a club not to be. You may have to suffer some short term pain but in the long term you'll get through this.

| Probably time for Hull FC to cash in on their better players and sell a few on , will also help reduce the wage bill.
Some of the older ones need to go too, Houghton and Taylor spring to mind.

If we are in as much trouble as some Rovers fans want to believe, then I'm sure it will happen, fully expect Connor and Satae to be sold.
Wonder if this will happen?
