maybe its time to drop houghton too! another poor game imo, too many wrong options and can only seem to pass one way!

Recruitment has being poor hasnt replaced the power and aggression that Moa and Manu brought to the team. not having a half back obviously doesnt help but shouldnt stop effort on the pitch

I agree Johnson tried hard, but he is the size of some SL centres, no where near big enough to be a prop.

A vastly overated player imo, Hodgson is a much better one.

Not the game I was watching, Johnson was one of the most effective and go-forward players we had out there, full of aggression and passion unlike many others.

It looks that way because it was that way for most of the game. On the (very few) occasions we did win the collision, I'd agree that we did nothing to capitalise on it.

Our play the ball is so slow; we just don't seem to make any effort to get up quickly. Rovers players looked as though they wanted to get up and play it, we seemed happy to wait for the tacklers to clear and then stand up and play it.



We're so static and boring to watch; if a ball is going left or right it will continue to go left or right, nobody comes back on an angle. This ultimately ends up with the centre and winger compressed with two yards to work with. I get so frustrated as we have talent on the wings but their primary role is to make yards on the 2nd and 3rd tackle and never get any running opportunities.



I thought Danny Houghton tried hard today but this crabbing sideways and slightly backwards from the play the ball does nothing for me. If he's looking for an inside runner, nobody else is aware of it and he seems too often to end up running down blind alleys. We had a set in the Rovers 20 in the first half that sums it up for me; he initially ran left then ran right, across from where the ball was played, down the blind side and ultimately ended up passing back to Tickle who was stood stationary just the left of the PTB. It just looked, and was, clueless.

We got dicked upfront,watch the match again,you will see how much yardage they made in each set.

Houghton for me tried too hard. He sensed that nothing was happening and he tried to make it happen all on his own. He tried to take half back come hooker-role all in one and got himself in a right twist. It showed some of his flaws today and his heart ruled his head. Agree, if he had thought about some of the options in front of him, then who knows, something might have come off for him/us.

Poor display,very dissappointed,we need our star players back and quick,oh well the trolls who come on here are at least happy

the only players we are badly missing are Holdsworth & McDonnel.



Ellis i'm sure will be good, but he isn't going to bring a kicking game and creativity to the table. Yeaman likewise is a good player, but needs quality passes from the halves to make an impact. Lynch works hard but isn't going to bust of players and make a gap. We can't use injuries as an excuse for our appalling display.

Houghton's a decent player, but he hasn't improved his passing and distribution at all, and this is what will prevent him becoming a top player.

Was embarrassing how the whole of the South Stand were pointing for him to pass left where we were actually deep and stacked up, but he still kept passing right!

houghton said"they wanted it more", how the hell is it acceptable for a player to not give 100%, which given its impossible to give 110% means rovers were giving more of their all then we were.

its a derby for gods sake n if our players arent motivated by that then they should chuck the towel in and give their place to someone who will leave the field with nothing more to give, because if they wanted it more it suggests some of our players didnt give their all.

leeds are better then bradford, but bradford fought tooth n nail for 80 mins and got their reward with a deserved point.

why didnt we show that desire

I think his distribution is very average , A bit like the handling of the whole team . Has been for years.

said the same myself, people around us say it! westy would be more suitable atleast he has a go at the players time and time again when we have conceded, he seems one of the only few who has the passion in that area!

Agree about Houghton. Problem with Westy is he would have to practice what he preached. Had an absolute mare today unfortunately - good spirit but error prone.

He's obsessed with passing right this season.
