I knew the answer as you did , the point I was making is why does PG make those sorts of comments when he more than anyone should know he's not going to do it. For the most part the disappointment over the last few years is about actions not matching words. The players availability hasn't changed much since Saturday with the exception of Seymour so why make the statement he made?

| I think the big plus even though may get slated is Josh Bowden coming back into the side. In the pre season friendly against castleford i though JB played really well. He got hit hard early but stood back up and played a blinder. Big hits and good runs. Think he could be our answer to a Sam Moa style player, but obvs given time

I'd stick with Arundel, he needs games and should not be written off so quickly. Houghton to retain his starting place for me as I like Heremaia from the bench. Galea to keep his place to, thought he was excellent in the first half against Widnes and i'd start Watts at 13.

| Arundel does need games, but he clearly for whatever reason isn't up to SL standard at the moment so should be playing for York, he has put in two of the worst performances I have seen from a player in a long time, cost us 5 trys in 2 games and missed about 10 tackles, if he plays this week I will be very disappointed in Gentle.
Also starting Watts after the amount of time he has had out wiudl be hard for him, so I have him on the bench.

You'd have to ask PG. But my guess would be a combination of frustration and a hope that some players would be back and give him more options. And technically he will have a different 17 playing on Friday - just not as much different as we might have hoped.
For me the bigger test will be how he rings the changes if players continue to under-perform over a number of games rather than a one-off fiasco performance. Assuming we have players available to come in, of course. It seems a long time since we had a squad that really appeared to be picked on performance alone.

A one-off fiasco performance, Kosh, where have you been this last 4/6 years, i love this team
with every beat !!!! but even i can see its hardly a one off, if i had my way i would drop every
one who played at Widnes, and i guess we would lose 2 points, but it would show them that
us travelling fans deserve much more, all i ask for is effort and the desire to play for this team

So apart form Seymour who has been dropped ? Thought Gentle was going to make wholesale changes after the Widnes game ?

| I think that was just a slap in the face for the players really - they'll have trained hard for their place this week. As indicated by the interview with Jay Pitts on their website

Out of the squad from last week are Ben Crooks, Green and Seymour.
First 2 picked up injuries without even playing and Seymour is better discussed elsewhere.
Wish Gentle would have been a bit tougher with his selection but if the injuries are true then perhaps his hands are tied a little.

Cheers. I thought ex-Tiger Joe Arundel would have been back at York after last weekend but then again it might be a case of with him playing against his home town team he could redeem himself. Major tacking effort required against Castleford's left hand side. Should be a good game and looking forward to the visit.

| The players now know that no matter how bad they play they won't be dropped
