| Fantastic player and has been a pleasure to watch especially over the last two years, in a sick way it will be a great to watch manu n Ellis go toe to toe if they are against each other .
Im really gonna miss watching him play and good luck to the man next year .
I think were using the word LEGEND and ive got to agree

Manu is class, how many of you would retain him rather then have Ellis?'"
I would sooner retain him, however it was not meant to be so I could not think of a better player to fill the void than Gareth Ellis, proven world class player

| Gareth Ellis has, and does play at a level far grater than Manu.
Manu's a massive loss, nobody like him in the league except Hock (maybe). His abilities are irreplaceable, but as I've said before our style of play can minimise the impact. There's been an over reliance on Manu over the last few years to provide a spark for us and teams have doubled up on him and tired him out in defence leaving us toothless.

I get that, it'll be interesting how Ellis settles back into the amatuer game compared to NRL. Manu for me was the best offloading forward in the league.

| As a Saints fan, I have to say I was sceptical when we signed a 33 year old, but having watched him since and especially last night I have to take it back. There are going to be some bruises dished out with him, Soliola and Puletua in the same back row, it's a mouth watering prospect.
Best of luck for the rest of the play offs, unless you play us of course!

| You've got a great player there, Smurf. Such a shame we made you sign Turner as a punishment for taking Manu.

| Willie manu is THE BEST back rower in superleague and will be a loss but judging by the signing of ellis then i'm sure he's been replaced like for like.

| We tried to keep Manu at same time we signed G Ellis ! Now that would have been some back row !
My thought is that Manu will have an injury keeping him out for 3 months - not wished for , just a hunch due to age and injury free run he has had

| Sad to see Willie go but we move on, Ellis is more than good enough to fill any void the we may have from the loss of Willie. Disappointed he left though especially when we look like actually being on the verge of something good and he should & could have been part of it. Guess money talks at the end of the day, wonder if he'll regret his decision after we tank Saints next year
Be interesting to see how he plays against us though too as he has a great affinty with this club, just wont seem right seeing him in a shirt other then Black & White.

Dropping Jon Wilkin Smurf?
This must indicate Puletua and/or Soliola moving back to the front row and centre respectively.
Manu is up there with Hock & Westwood... Is he still English does anyone know? I'd have Westwood personally but there's not much in it and each player brings something different to your back row.
Be a good battle on Saturday if Super Ben plays.

Nah Super Ben Galea can'y play till next season
Willie Manu one word "Legend"
Hope we all welcome him back when he next visits the KC with Saints, rousing applause at the start followed by ironic boos the 1st time he gets the ball

| Just finished watching the game and Rod Studd speaking to Manu. Willie before he went of said hello to his family back in Saint Helens.
Cheeky b@sturd, already living over there already so it seems!
Moved out of his house in Melton a few weeks ago, I think Heremaia has moved in to it.
