Which team is Hull?
There's about as much red in the Bradford shirt and shorts as there is in the Saints socks. Can you really "easily" see the red in that picture? From far away, and when you're not relying on natural light, it's harder to distinguish colours as they get shadowed easier and so just look "darker" than the white parts. You're basically saying that you have to rely on a tiny part of someone's sock to be able to tell the difference. do you really think that's acceptable practice?
And Rovers don't have a big red band around the shirt. Only on the front. Only the supporters' version does.
You are right in the cases that you can easily distinguish teams when they're setting up a defensive line or whatever, but in broken play when there are players all over the place, it is very difficult to see who is who when the game is going so quickly. You shouldn't have to think twice, especially as a player, and especially if it can so easily be avoided by wearing a completely different coloured kit!
This isn't a kick about on a park pitch. This is the top of the professional game in this country FFS.'"
If one is not able to differentiate which team is which then one might need to have a more regular eye check for corrective purposes, though I never sit THAT far back at any sporting event the camera shot is blurry/out of focus and does not represent what viewing a game through a normal pair of eyes is like. Also it is a static singular moment snap and people with average sight and mental ability will have no trouble knowing who their players are.
I'm sure the referee would be ensuring that teams change kits if he thought it was an issue, that some speccies can't isn't an issue for me because they are in the insignificant minority.
When I played I never had to think twice, why would I? I recognise my own team (it wasn't a kick around on a park btw ) and just because they are SL players makes them no lesser or superior in their cognative abilities to other human beings so it matters not one jot in that respect.
It isn't difficult to see who is who unless you aren't following the game and have come back from the beer tent/bogs, then it takes a few seconds to regather who/what/where.
ATEOTD if it makes you feel better, make a full account & explanation to the RFL to register your viewpoint, you never know it might be meted with a positive response, it can't harm to try can it?

So to answer the question, no you can't tell which one Hull is
And if the team doesn't have another kit?
Remember Huddersfield vs Castleford last year?
They delayed the game 25 minutes (a TV game at that) to get them to wear a different shirt. One's got hoops, the other hasn't. Why is it that that's not good enough for a Sky game, but is good enough for a friendly? It shouldn't be good enough for either. They're both poor kit clashes.

Tony Martin went one better - he placed the ball directly into the hands of an opposing player, allowing him to run 80 yards and score!

Fast that lad Crookes is Sharp made nothing on him running back and he was the one who all but caught Briscoe from the opposite wing.

If you watch Briscoe also gets closer to Crookes then Sharp does despite being on the other wing.

| I agree it's very unprofessional and easily avoidable. Why can't the away team just bring both kits? It's not hard.

I've noticed when sprinting for the line Briscoe often stutters when getting chased instead of of just going flat out.

| Why do Bradford have to have the unveiling of a kit at a match? Surely they could have a kit day and do it then. And if they're wearing said kit at a match, why are they playing in their away kit at home?

As it appears that you either don't have someone sending out kit directives to the clubs or the person that is doing it is clearly inept, I am kindly offering to help you in this obvious predicament you're having.
As a follower of Hull FC, it has been frustrating that for some reason the away team (or the person in charge of telling the away team) cannot understand that although their is black in our kit, it is majority white (white shorts, white socks with black hoops, greater amount of white in the shirt) and so we have seen incidents such ashttp://www.rlphotos.com/Hull/Hull20082/thumbnails/RadfordLee2-22-208dl.jpg" >
2008 clash with Bradford Bulls, who came in their home kit of mainly white shirt (with black trim), white shorts and white socks.
2008 clash with Huddersfield, who came in their away kit of mainly white (with claret and gold trim), white shorts and white socks.
Since these 2008 incidents, Hull are reverted to a predominantly black kit (black trim on shirt instead of white and black shorts in 2009, black shirt with white chevron and black shorts in 2012, and black shirt with thin white hoops and black shorts in 2011), but we have returned to having a mainly white kit this year. I was hoping that the colour clashes wouldn't happen again, but so far in our two home friendlies this season, we've already seen two clasheshttp://www.thisishullandeastriding.co.uk/images/localpeople/ugc-images/275786/Article/images/15009937/3488043.png" >
Bradford Bulls playing in their home kit of mainly white shirt (with black trim), black shorts and white socks,
(Hull were playing in Lee Radford's testimonial kit of mainly white shirt with thick black hoops, white shorts and black socks).
So, therefore, I have painlessly and quite easily gone through the trouble of selecting for you which kits should be worn in Hull FC's games this season by both the home and away team so I will not have to pay money to guess which team in white is currently holding the ball...

| Those directives may change during the year - Sky may change directives if they feel that there is insufficient difference for thier coverage.
In terms of friendly's the clubs agree colours before the match day - but that doesnt always work as Sunday showed.

You'd have thought they'd have had Widnes wear their white shorts like they have them against Warrington and Wigan in this game.
I'd have thought London's home kit would have been far less a clash than their away kit as well.
