Yeh but its difficult to change the way you play after playing that way for the last 12-15 years! Houghton is slightly different, as I favour rotating the hooking role as theres alot of responsibility in attack, meaning that they get through the most work of any player on the pitch overall. Being made to play the majority of the 80 minutes eventually blunts his effect offensively as the game goes on and without doubt 'burnout'/injury will become apparent if not soon but in the years to come for sure. |

He should be playing 60 min per game as a prop with Westerman at 13. |

Hes not a prop! Hes a second row. Theres enough of our team playing out of position already! Westerman at 13 is just common sense to everyone watching apparently apart from the one guy who picks the team!

He does not have pace to play backrow imo, he played prop very well in the NRL and if you look at what he does for us he is playing like a prop. He just gets the ball and runs straight. |

play him in the s/r and roatate him, in a novel idea we could also rotate Manu, and maybe even Tickle, as long as tickle and Fitz not off at the same time so we'd still have an established kicker on the field!! I know thats assuming we'd score a try

A point not mentioned is the oposition tactics. Run at Fitz all day, he'll still do the 80mins but his creativity will suffer. If you do not run at him all day he will stay fresher and really hurt you when in attack. Just looking at it from the flip side and it is obvious three out of three coaches have identified that nulifying Hulls star player is the way to go and it seems to be working.
Does seem strange spending over 100k on Westerman then not playing him in his best position!

I play rugby on a staurday and it hurts when the big props get hold of me but I wonder what its like carrying in a ball against the likes of Fitz....Wonder if id survive

To be honest, Fitz has offered nothing on the creativity front this season. People don't want him to play at prop but that's the job he's doing anyway. Then to add insult to injury we play Tickle at prop for a spell whilst leaving Moa on the bench. Total comedy.

Correct he suits Agars game though, he is just used to tackle, what worries me is we have leaked over 80 points in 3 games, god knows how many it would have been without Fitz efforts.
Agar really must have an issue with Moa, it is pathetic how he is used, especially if rumours that O'Meley went into the game carrying an injury are true  |

He's wearing 13, but he is playing as a prop and has been since he got here. Whatever number you put on his back, he'll do the same job - loads of tackles and loads of hit ups. But, at 34 years of age, he'd be more likely to see out the season if he was doing this for 40-50 minutes a game than 80. |

The only reason Fitz makes so many tackles is because he is 1 of the few players we have who has a brain, he never defends at A defender and rushes in on a angle as he can pick out who is getting the ball.
That style of defence is exactly how the Roosters defended as for the 1st 3 tackles they nominated a rusher to just shoot out of the line, if you see the way Morley defends he does the exact same thing for Warrington.
