| Richie....yes Simon? I know you've just started as DoR, but Adams told the fans we'll have a new scrum half in place by the Leeds game...you wouldn't mind playing as well as managing all off field matters would you?

| Don’t mind it, Richie will know the value of current players and the way the game is played now and who we should be looking at. Also if he is bringing his new father in law in who’s worth 180 million then who are we to argue.

| Not overly fussed either way at present, until he's in the position and doing something then it remains to be seen if it's a good or bad move.
He doesn't have experience in the role, but he does know a lot about modern day rugby. He will have a better understanding of wages and player value, he's been around long enough and worked under enough different coaches to know what type of methods/personalities work and what players respond to.
It could be an absolute shambles, or it could be a very good move. A bit of youth around the place could be good to have.
He was a good player in his prime. It will help having a guy around who also knows rugby and can still offer some playing advice. Yes, leave the coaching to the coaches, but he would still be there to tap into for tip and tricks if required.
I'm open minded right now.

| Willing to give Myler the benefit of the doubt, but I just hope it's not the case he's been given the role because his father in law is the investor, if he's qualified and will be good for the role, then yes good move, but if he's inexperienced and just getting it as a term of investment then not a good move. Cant imagine Tony Smith would've wanted to run recruitment decisions past Myler though

| Ironic that Tony Smith signed Myler for Warrington.
I wonder if Myler still keeps in touch with Brian McDermott, their paths briefy crossed at Leeds.

| So Myler's FIL, a big figure at Leeds Rhinos, is buying him a role he has no qualifications for at a rival club? Nepotism or sabotage?

| I’ll say this now ;
Myler is the new DoR for one reason and one reason only !!!!!!!!
£££££££££££££££££ and more £££££££
We lost £1m last year and we’ve paid off
Gene and Smith and Hoy.
We’ve agreed to Mylers salary.
We’re signing many replacements this season when we should write it off, if we are skint !
Where’s the cash coming from ?????
I’m very happy !! Truly because Cash is what we need and cash is what we’re getting !

From his partner's father. He's the money man. This isn't about Myler, it's about the man who appears to be already calling the shots.

| Comes with no links to the club….played to a high level and under some good coaches…..just don’t trust him with your other half.

| I mean, if it comes with some money and funding for the FIL then it could be a small price to pay. But what the hell does Richie Myler know about been a director of rugby. It’s a ridiculous move and anyone pretending otherwise is in fantasy land.
Remember the jamie peacock episode and he supposedly has business acumen.
Feels a bit of nepotism so the man making the actual decisions can have some impact, which in its self is dangerous but at least you’ve got some finances on board which is never a negative I guess.
Strange times, and I guess you’re in a position when you’ve got not much to lose.

| It's just the Hetheringtons again.
