And Rovers announced they're considering moving to Greece where they won't look quite so skint.

| Great news ! Still as good as any prop in SL and certainly has a "presence" when he's on the field. He has well and truly earned his deal and it's good to see him roll up his sleeves and fight for a deal when a lesser player might have just given up and gone elsewhere.
One more decent prop and we'll have a pack as good as any. Taylor would now be the icing on the cake.
Crabtree or a big impact prop would also do it for me though.

And you say I'm negative?
It does not mean that we have missed out on other targets at all, the club have seen what us fans have seen, and that's a prop forward playing fantastic rugby league.
He's unstoppable at times! by far the best prop forward I can remember, like MOA, he run's hard and see's right through the players he running at.
I was hoping and praying we kept him for at least another season, loosing manu, moa, o'meley would have left us short in strength in the front row.

| Fantastic news! his last 2 performances have been absolutely top class, and he's getting better and better with match fitness.
I agree with Gentle's policy of having a 'fast and mobile' pack, but you still need a big, hard beast like Ogre to come on and shake the opposition up.

| Quote: Mild Rover "Firstly, from what I understand, we're cutting costs, no on the verge of going bust - people tend to interpret things to suit their own prejudices (me included, obviously).
Secondly we may well sell Taylor, although clearly we can't do it against his will. If HFC were the club NH suspects his agent of trying to engineer a move too, I think and hope, if there are other interested parties we'd accept their offers and not yours if they're in the same ball park. If you weren't that club and your offer were best, I'd see that differently but the intra-city rivalry would make it widely unpalatable I suspect.
We'd need to replace him, so if he wants to see out his contract, as is his right, I'd be fine with that. Only postpones the problem, so getting some gelt would be better, but I suspect the ball is in his court.'"
Doesn't help when your gaffer's talking about whether or not you'll be able to 'go around again' though, does it?
On topic, as I said when Wakey fans were asking about him, O'Meley is still one of the best props in SL when fit IMO. Hopefully his injury is now sorted and he'll play a lot of games next year.

| great news. when fit as good as anyone in SL imo. IF we somehow managed to get Taylor a front row combination of lynch, watts, o'meley & taylor backed up by green and bowden should manage to lay a good platform for our halfbacks to do their business.

| If we have signed him for another year as we didnt get Amor then I think we are better off, obvioulsy more to come from the lad but from what I've seen of him (albeit not a lot) he's no great loss atm.

| Good news! When he came on at the weekend his first drive was a tackle bust and an offload. Hope he keeps it up and stays injury free.

| echo all other posters very pleased for mark and for the team we need him next year one of the best props in super leauge think he will rip it up next year in a very good pack, one more front row to add i think and we should be complete ,but we might not get who we want Green has come on leaps and bounds in the last few months so wouldnt be too upset if we went with lynch, omeley, watts, pitts and green, chris green will look even better with another good off season in him really filling out i honestly think hes going to go all the way this lad
Great news again, this week has been fantastic a really good crowd and agreat win sunday will finish it off nicely

We also have Josh Bowden, meaning that our options at prop will be Lynch, Watts, O'Meley, Green, Pitts, Bowden.
I imagine that there would be considerable competition between Green, Bowden and Pitts to earn the 4th prop slot as I Lynch, Watts, and O'Meley are givens for their spots.
There were also quite a few rumours on here about us signing Johnson from Wakefield, too, but that signing may now be a little redundant as we already have 6 signed up (and 4 of those are 22 or younger).

yes good point looking at it we more than enough cover with a great blend of youth and exsperience which is what you need i hope taylor stays at HKR another year because if chris green keeps up his progression he could be ready to step into omeleys shoes next year add taylor to the others then and you have a great young english front row hope bowden gets some game time next year aswel things looking really rosie
