Did we also have another Aussie 2nd row at the same time of Regan? Dave Brookes?

Yes, I remember Brooks as a stereotypical Aussie 2nd row forward: Strong as an Ox and tough in the tackle.

For ever to be remembered for THAT try against Wigan in 1988! Still have that on an old VHS, absolute class.
I think McAffery was signed as a replacement for Scott Gale who got injured in his 3rd or 4th game for Hull. He was then flown back for the 2 semi finals against Halifax.

To be honest I am surprised that no one has gone for Moa at prop.
Greenhill was solid and unspectacular (unless Barry Ward was in front of him )

| Of those I've seen play for FC
Gary Kemble
Dane O'Hara
James Leuluai
Richie Barnett
Tevita Vaikona
Des Hasler
Peter Sterling
Craig Greenhill
Richard Swain
Mark O'Meley
Craig Fitzgibbon
Stephen Kearney
Jason Smith
Fred Ah Kuoi
John Muggleton
Noel Cleal
Steve Folkes
Some of those may have played their better rugby at other clubs but they're the best 17 I can come up with who played for Hull. That's one tough set of forwards.

I thought it might do okay
Personally I thought Nathan performed miracles given how fragile he was at times. Still bagged 33 tries in 47 appearances, despite his many critics I think he was a belter of a winger and nay bad at FB either.
That line up for me has class, commitment & a certain amount of biff to it as well, certainly Fred wouldn't go missing in a scrape, Jimmy was no saint either. And then there's Crusher, Kearney and a few others to help out
As an aside there's probably a few really old uns from well before my time, Bruce Ryan was an outstanding right wing from all acounts and his try scoring record was second to none. Mackay was a feisty, crafty player and Motu might have sneaked in there too except Rich Swain is just well Richard (fecking awesome) I also wanted a pack that would scare the living daylights out the oppo and batter them senseless before the master stepped in to finish 'em off
I think Crayfish might have a quiet day with that lot in front of him...lol
