Certain others have more to offer and/or would cost more to bin. Thacks was simply not good enough to make it worth while putting up will all his crap.

The only SL side desperate enough to employ him would be Celtic IMO. And it looks like even they aren't THAT desperate.

Lets be honest here and say that when he wanted to he had a very unique style on the pitch that made him almost untacklable at times and to see him ripping into defences was a joy to watch .. however a few years on he lost that edge due to what ever but it seemed to me mainly down to a lack of fitness and age catching up with him ..
the thing he has on his side is that props are very sought after in SL so someone will come calling for him!! if Danny ward was re employed then Thacks has got no worries

hes a old enough to choose what he wants in life , and i feel hes wasted it. others play the game because they love it and dont get paid, he was in a privileged position and didnt think it would come to an end
