London are sadly on the brink, need thousands to even start next season so thats a horse out the race. Also surely Hudds score will be down given performances and crowds are down.'"
The only club that seems to be worried about IMG grading is Cas as they've not really announced many signings, most other clubs have....can't really see where hudds will improve their grading but they've announced Burgess, King, Sutcliffe and Woodford for next season so they likely think they're safe

| IMG won’t even be a thing in rugby league in a few years time.
What it does represent though is the confirmation that it’s time for a change.
Hopefully Myler, et al, will drive the changes required.

| Wonder if Grix would be tempted with the Bradford job. Looks a tempting job for a young coach, must be one of the favourites to win the division next year

I can't see anything other than swapping Wakefield for London. Other championship options are too risky.
Cas have their limits due to size of the town and the ground still needs major work despite recent tweaks but SL would be saying bye to 7k crowds if they demote them.

| It's a BS system anyway when you get penalised for having the best stadium in the league, and zero points are given for youth development.

We’ve hardly been penalised for having the best stadium have we really? The stadium criteria is only worth 3 points in total. 1.5 of that is for the facility itself, so if like you say we have the best stadium we’ll score higher or has high as anyone for that. A massive 0.25% of a single point is awarded for primary of tenancy, that’s the only thing you’d think we can’t score on. Even the utilisation criteria is in our own hands if we got the crowds.
I don’t like the system, but let’s not pretend it’s anyone else’s fault but our own. We are not a grade A simply because we’ve been mismanaged financially and been nothing short of a disgrace on the field. I’d imagine Wigan score similar on the stadium criteria.

You are rewarded for having a big LED screen and a few portacabins and call them corporate facilities but still play in a small s-hole of a stadium where you get p iss wet through when it rains unless you hide under a burger van.
Despite the dross on the field we are still near the top when it comes to support but don't benefit because the stadium is too big.
Having said that although the system is flawed we don't deserve a "A" grade until we improve on the field and get the finances sorted out.

| No issues with Rovers been above us on points, but no way should Cas and Wakey score more than us, if they do shows the scoring doesn't work.

| For me I don’t see the benefits or what the IMG grading brings to the game when what should have been a fundamental part of any grading system for clubs etc was youth development.

IMG’s remit and incentives are all around increasing revenue. That’s what they’ve been brought on to do and the grading system is part of them trying to do it. Hopefully, they’ve got one or two other arrows in their quiver but I’m starting to become a little dubious.
They’re not there to fix every problem. The RFL still exists and could act to reform/improve youth development. There are a lot of vested interests to overcome, of course. But, whatever, it’s outside IMG’s remit.

There is not one thing IMG have done that has enhanced the game
If increasing revenues is a major part of their remit then they have failed miserably
How does televising all games increase clubs revenues?
How does taking away promotion and relegation increase clubs revenues and end of season play off interest?
The RFL have once again showed their naivety thinking we employ a big name and its gives the game credibility when all it has done is come up with a flawed grading system for circa £500,000.
Just how much more money the RFL are prepared to play?
My guess is when the penny actually drops not much more.
Cant see IMG been around after next season with the RFL having to spend more money paying them off.
Marketing is key to this sport.
Employ a small hungry young marketing company who can think outside the box.
Get rid of quotas, salary cap to increase the amount of super stars in the game and let clubs if they want team up with NRL clubs and RU clubs and allow interchange players
Yes it will be survival of the fittest and money talks but thats how you get money and media interest into the game with a lot more sponsorship from larger companies as TV exposure becomes a lot more interesting for them.
It would take a bit of time but get it right and in time we could then see some teams linking up with leading football clubs

Some wild LinkedIn comments by AP on a failed investment
have been shared on Facebook. Some questioning whether it's a fake account but the account is 10 years old and connected with the likes of Tony Sutton.

| Personally, I still think people need to give IMG time. The sport has been badly mismanaged for years. IMG were always coming in for a long term strategy. Whether that works or not is something that we won't know for some time to come. It's the same with the club, both are going to take time to fix. Expecting a magic wand from IMG for the sport and Myler for the club is unrealistic.
I do, however, agree that things like the quota and salary cap need looking at. There's that many dispensations and allowances now (and more upcoming) that it's pretty clear that there's plenty of clubs that want more overseas players than the quota allows and want to spend more than the cap allows. Which says to me that the existing rules don't work anymore.

Anyone on LinkedIn that can actually verify it's real or fake as some are suggesting? That Karl Brooks has been ranting on pretty much a daily basis for weeks now about AP and seems to have a vendetta against him. Wouldn't be surprised to see him making a fake account like that up to suit his agenda to be honest.

As already said, the account is over 10 years old with 500+ connections including Tony Sutton, James Clark, Mike Rush. Also tagged in last year by Hudgell Solicitors. A very elaborate ruse if that's what it is.

| with IMG revealing their results on weds, the league position results have been shown on social media outlets, we are as expected 12th, Wakey 9th as they got bouns points for winning the championship GF.
Worringly Toulouse are 13th, now another terrible season for us next year may be disastrous for the club, can see Toulouse going all out to win the Championship next season and more than likely will replace any lower end grade B clu....unless the RFL finally get the b@lls to go to 14 teams!

Plus the media picked up on it either Thursday or Friday last week, if it was fake you’d have thought he’d have come out and said so by now.

The comments in the screen shot do not show in AP's comments only one comment that says 'Con man'. There is another from someone else that says 'Go on Adam' which I assume means if those comments were indeed made they've been deleted along with a number of comments from other seemingly disgruntled investors who have said similar.
Seems AP along with many others have invested and looks like they've all been taken for a ride, hence why there are other comments such as scammers, con man etc people other than AP.
Don't see what the fuss is with it to be honest and seem that person posting it really has a vendetta against AP.

I completely disagree. Regardless of personal financial loss, using language with sexual violence metaphors and swearing on a public business platform is unprofessional, arrogant and offensive.

I think the problem is the comments were like something you’d expect to see over a dispute about a second hand sofa on Facebook marketplace rather then a social media post from an owner of a sports club and supposed successful businessman.
Like I said when it was first doing the rounds, seemed amateurish for a man in his position to rant on social media like that but it’s hardly a big deal. He’s obviously deleted it now on second thoughts. Just hope any money he’s lost doesn’t affect the club.
