The play before the try was scored we made a 40 yard break down field. Leeds defence was not set, our entire attacking line was further forward.
If you want an example of a full back coming into the line, take a look at Tansey's try at craven park last year.
Oh, so you don't mean 'coming into the line', you mean 'coming into the line in a very particular set of circumstances that I have deemed acceptable'. What about the break he made in the second half? No one was anywhere near him. Perhaps that was his fault for breaking when no one expected him to?

However I still maintain the board won't do anything too rash and in fairness we wanted a top 6 finish last season and he provided us with that. He could still see the season out and we could finish top 6 again, we don't know what will happen. I am prepared to give him 8-10 matches regardless of what other fans think. People said don't get carried away when we won our first 5 matches the other season and so I won't get carried away that we have lost our first two.'"
If you seriously think that team is capable of finishing in the top 6 your living in Cloud Cuckoo Land.
A very depressing time to be a black and white, think the empty seats, the lack of atmosphere and the gutless performance on Friday night just about sums things up at the moment.
Time for Agar to go, and please take that has been Long with you,

| Quote: Rock God X "The point I was making was that Briscoe made a break in that game and BJB made up a fair bit of distance to chase him down. He's very quick. If one of our fastest wingers gets chased down by BJB, it's a little unfair not to expect Whiting to be beaten for pace too. Would Wellens have stopped him from there? I doubt it.
The other point is, if our kick chase had been anything like effective, BJB wouldn't have been given the opportunity to get into full stride and beat Whiting. To lay the blame for that try at Whiting's door is massively wide of the mark.'"
Agreed. Nobody on that side of our defence would have chased him down regardless of how quick they were. He was already moving at full tilt when he received the ball and in the opposite direction to the defenders. Usain Bolt would have struggled.
He did get slightly done for pace and agility a couple of times in the game but IMO more than made up for it in other areas. Good all round performance.

| Quote: Staffs FC "BJB is fast - live with it. Hull were attacking - not many fullbacks stay in back play when their team is attacking - can't think of any in fact. His positioning the rest of the time was fine - not least on the three occasions he was trying to turn try scorers onto their backs. He also made an excellent break down the left side in the second half using decent speed to exploit the opening. The only dead cert about that break was that he wouldn't be easily able to locate his left centre in support.'"
Agreed however, when you see the footage, when BJB gets the ball from Sinfield tip off, Whiting has around a 15 yard head start and doesn't react quick enough IMO.

This makes it sound like I am blaming Whiting for the try, I am not! The ball should have been belted into touch, or at least a longer kick up field, on that last play so that we go in at half time with only 10 points to make up. But this is part of the overall bigger problem, the instructions given to the players from the coach!

I do think we are capable, otherwise I would not have said it.

Being part of a line of player in a sequence of passes is not "coming into the line", but I am thinking you already know that
The highlighted comment, well that's just being plain silly.

(and not waste our money) or do we waste money and stay away???? me head hurts thinking about it
No they will not, they will start to cut their losses, remember it still cost a few quid on a night, pint etc.
