The fact is the club have stated they have had a fair hearing and are moving on, they should know as they were there and have all the facts.

The club apparently went to the panel intending to plead not guilty. Something happened that made them change the plea to guilty but with mitigation. The speculation is about what that might have been. That's not a case of anyone knowing better, it's a case of a discussion based on various statements made by club officials.

This is my point you said the club 'apparently'. You dont know. The club do know and have accepted it which means I have too as I have no reason to think they never got a fair hearing as both Bomber and Clarkey have said the did.

I think the player being knocked out mate all the difference. It gave the ref time to think.

i agree, would have been play the ball if rinaldi hadnt lost his marbles...... the fact that no london player flew in to have a go says it all for me...was a belting legal hit, simple as..... just cous the guy got hurt does not constitute a red card in my opinion.....

Regardless of you lot handbagging each other for brownie points the fact remains that the ruling sets a very very dangerous presidence for future BIG hits, because all refs having seen that red card will now no doubt get a rush of blood every time a bell ringer is thrown into the game and off will trot a innocent forward again !!!
Even other professional players are bagging the ref all over the social networks for making the wrong call.....
at the end of the day Rinaldi is a shorter guy than Moa who was semi stooping as the hit connected, even if he had simply wrapped him up and bent him backwards the chances are he would have been sparked from a forhead in the gob or similar...

It was a massive hit that was right on the button, thats why the London boys were consoling Moa as he went off and after full time because they all knew it was a wrong call and the best judge of a bad tackle is how other professionals react to it, there wasnt even one London player who ran in annoyed by it, none...says it all to me...
