what you do is hit the old Board ,they the people that done wrong .don't let them walk away scot free..AP took the Club over in good faith ..to make him pay for others will put other buyers off investing in other Rugby league ..AP knew of the salary cap ..But not the drug case until the deal was done.. So far the three involved have been banned they have paid their price ..If there is others they should be made to pay ..Not innocent people who had nothing to do with it

Why haven't other Clubs that be involved in similar cases had point deducted ..You hit the people that involved ..If you got caught taking drugs you get done ..Not the people you work for .They might terminate your contract.

This is now getting like the self-flagellation following the McAlpine incident.

UKDA have decided the punishments of those found guilty in the matter. It would appear that there are no others involved. So stop the speculation, get on with your lives and look forward to the new season.

As I've said previously, I don't think Hull FC should be punished. But it was what Rule did, rather than what Gleeson did that would be the issue, if the RFL do consider taking it further. He was the Chief Executive, so the employer was involved. Sacking those involved or even changing ownership wouldn't get a club off a salary cap breach punishment, for example. But those punishments are pretty weedy anyway, and 'all' Rule did was attempt to cover up the circumstances that led to the error, not the error itself. Unless there was some dark and devious motive for that which comes out in the near future, my guess is Hull FC will be safe.

I wouldn't want them to have points deducted and a fine. Especially for the actions of (mainly) 2 people. 2 people who aren't even at the club anymore, affecting at least 11 players/coaching staff who weren't even here when the offences took place, that's without the changes of owner & BOD etc.

Actually it doesnt but the time line in LE is very interesting at the bottom of page 3. AP took over the club on 22 July this was just over 2 months of the test of Gleeson and just over a month after Gleeson had his result upheld (13 June) Gleeson appealed on the 28 June

Cooper interviewed by UKDA on 1 August, 20 September Cooper and Gleeson again interviewed by UKAD

11th October Rule charged by UKAD the same day he resigns.

How long had AP been looking at the books etc befoe the takeover looking at the press release etc there could be some interesting debate coming along. Just hope this all goes to bed soon and the game can start on the pitch
