In Adam we have trust
In peter we have belief
In our team we have pride: |
|
| Don't see what all the fuss is about tbh.
Football fans travel a hell of lot further to see their team and play a lot more games [and no I'm not a football fan]
Why not see it as a chance to go somewhere new.

| I see the tickets for the Saints game at the Stoop are just £10 adults & £5 for kids.

After this game it goes to £15. A bit of a promotion for the first game as the Broncos(this time round!!!!)
Pompey 22 what the hell are you going on about with that nonsense ramble
Hull are not one of the biggest attenders at London games. I accept they are a big club with big home crowds but they dont travel to London in the numbers Wigan, Saints, HKR bring
London have a number of Sunday games -a more disturbing fixture is Warrington(a big club) on a Friday night at the Stoop
The distance from Hull to the Stoop/Gillingham it would appear is very similar so if you were intending on travelling from the north the petrol money wouldnt be affected-therefore no complaint there.
A ground is a ground- So no complaint there
So in summary Pompey you've waffled a load of old tripe you whinging get

If the game is £22 to get it it doesnt surprise me, they charge £24 for puffball there

will be lucky if there is more than 2500 tath the game and that is with both sets of fans
people who run our game our inept!'"
As I believe someone pointed out to you on our forum, Gillingham is actually closer to Hull than Twickenham you moron.
Cover your travelling costs? PMSL. Try doing it every other week. Cease your bleating.

“We will not accept a top eight finish as a barometer of supposed success at any point in the future whilst I am the owner of this club.
Thats why you got the Bullet Agar...Adam Pearson wants winners...not useless gits like you.

I would sooner have had a w-end in London than Gillingham....looks as though i may do Manchester now....pity the RL couldnt have looked at the fixtures more closely and had you playing someone who dont bring as many...Catalans maybe?

Absolutely, everything should revolve around Hull FC and their poor supporters.
I was actually sympathetic towards your lot at first but after reading some of the posts on here, I'm not anymore.

Hang on pal.....i was trying to say that having you play us the week before Manchester will harm your attendance as a lot of people look forward to a good w-end in London....but they now have to choose between Gillingham and Manchester and looking at the manchester prices, think a few will go for them.
As for you being sympethetic...yeah right....seen some of your posts about Hull FC in the past and like you say...im not botherd about London Crusaders/Broncos/Quins/Broncos/Nomads

| I can't believe fans are whining about this. Despite the fact Gillingham FC is between 5-9 miles CLOSER than the Stoop(depending on how you enter West London) you've also much less chance of hitting traffic going A1/A14/M11/M25/A2, than A63/M62/M1 then counter clockwise M25 to the Stoop. Time wise I reckon they are equal if not slightly longer going to the Stoop. So 3.5 hours driving each way, hardly a killer is it.
I think one of the reasons the game is at Gillingham is in no small part due to the hugely expanding interest in the game in the area, Medway Dragons have shown what can be done in a very short space of time and they have taken TGG under their wing and the kids have embraced it. Even though it's actually 30 miles further each way for me i'll be going all the same, I hope the Hull fans will turn out to show their support not only for the team they love but also for a potentially important step for rugby league.

| So what's Gillingham like, then, as a place to visit? Is it scenic, historic, good night life and old pubs?

I'm not a local and what floats one persons boat doesn't another as people have wildly different tastes but check out the visit Medway tourist page www.visitmedway.org/ I enjoyed walking along the Medway, Naval Dockyard is particularly interesting I thought www.thedockyard.co.uk/
I think we ate in the Spice Court in the town, seemed nice enough and not overly expensive.
Personally I can find anywhere decent to drink and stuff to see wherever I go.

| I don't see a problem tbh, it's a still a long journey either way. If I was planning to go to the game this would not change my mind. Not made my mind up yet.
