| You'd wonder why we'd sign Senior AND Tony Martin if it was us. Out of the two, I think I'd prefer Senior for a season to be honest (if he's fit).

| Don't link Senior to Hull, ehFCf will have a little fit and backtrack quicker than a quick backtracking thing, of which I can't think of an example, maybe GML...

Fucking right i'd have a fit if we were to sign him. But it's okay, you lot justify saving £50k on your cap 'just in case' you may need a Keith Senior as back up. Pay as you play my ar$e.

Hypothetically, if it was [ipure[/i pay as you play (and I agree that seems unlikely), if he doesn't get a game, that cap could still be used mid-way through the season. A player renewing his contract could be given it as a part of a more generous signing-on fee, and his wage over the rest of the contract adjusted accordingly.
He's on pay as you play at Leeds, where he probably isn't top of McDermott's Christmas card list, and some club's will have spent their budget, so he could be decent value.

There are far too many questions and 'more likely' scenarios than yours. I asked a few questions on your board, but strangely, nobody wanted to answer them.

IF pay as you play contracts exist in Super League, I imagine that the maximum cost of the contract would initially be on the books, and each game that went by where he didnt play would reduce the salary counted on the cap. This way a pay as you play contact would only benefit the club financially at the end of the year, and not salary cap wise

Your first set of questions implied to me that you believed him to be over the hill and not worth very much. Your next were on why he would accept something other than generous terms. Reverse the order and you're there, I reckon.

Initially, agreed - but with it being a live-cap if you don't spend it, it could surely be re-assigned in the way I suggested, before the end of the season. If a player leaves mid-season another can be brought in on his cap space - it'd be the same principle. It's all hypothetical anyway.

I would agree with that,
but that assumes that the money left over from said players arrangement was enough to attract a new player,
by design pay as you play deals will be for quite low amounts, as they would usually be used for crocked players, so you would have less than 100% of an already low deal, to find a new player with...
