| I thought our forwards let us down more than our halves tbh. No go forward, poor defence, and when we did get in their half it was invariably one of the forwards who gave it away early in the count. O'meley of course is immune from criticism but he may as well have not played last night. Only Moa and to an extent Hame showed up.

Moa seemed to take forever to play the ball last night but some credit must be given to Leeds defence for that.

| I know its not world shattering, but Eddie`s comment about Hull being the only S.L.team not to score a 40 /20 surprised me a bit.

| One of our big problems continues to be poor ball out of dummy half. I know it's not popular to criticise houghton but his distribution isn't good enough, hence we're rarely on the front foot and get dominated in the tackle.

| Quote carl_spackler="carl_spackler"Think people are being quick to jump on Horne because he had a bad game tonight after signing a new deal. Yes, he was poor, but halfbacks will always struggle behind such a badly beaten pack, particularly one whose strength has always been his footwork over his organising or handling. Obst disappointed me more tonight, even before moving to hooker. At least Horne looked to try and do something, for much of the opening stages Obst seemed content mainly to spectate, or just move the ball on aimlessly to the next man in the line.'"
Agree with all of that, we got out enthused by a more desperate side and the pack were on the back foot for most of the game. That meant the halves had no position or possession to create anything. The amount of defence we did left us short of energy in attack too.
That said our performance was shocking with ball in hand, the worst all season by some distance. Forwards never ran hard and halves were never in the game aswell as the backs.

He was poor last night, that said our ptb's were woefully slow.

It's chicken and egg though. Get decent ball out of dummy half and you have more chance of a quick PTB

| the reason for slow play the balls and danny houghton not been able to get out of dummy half was that our structure in attack was awfull and meant leeds defence could be tight and compressed and no suprise that on a number of occasions leeds had 3-4 players in the tackle and often pushed players back.
MR AGAR sort out the structure in attack, play a little wider with players pushing around the ball carrer with genuine dummy runners with the pivots as options. i can garuntee that if we do this then it will restrict leeds to not been able to get the numbers in the tackle like they did last night.

Maybe so, but I stand by what I said....
Richard Horne is just an overpaid Tommy Lee!! Chris Thorman was/is better IMO.... I just don't rate Horne AT ALL anymore!! But hey, 2 more years to go!!

Yes, you are correct.... Tommy Lee has a kicking game and has the ability to pass...
Horne has the same step and the same dummy pass which never works as he showed last night with players to his right he went alone when it wasn't even on!! This is before we mention his unbelievably accurate laser guided kicks which do no damage whatsoever.
Westerman did 3 great kicks out of three attempts yesterday.
