I have fond memories of standing in there.Being born in Cleethorpes is not associated with following rugby.A workmate at the time was transferred over from Saltend and persuaded me to "come and watch a mans game" instead of football.
It was mid eighties,G.B. v France.
I got hooked on the game,although I confess to not going so much to watch the "Sharks"
I loved the atmosphere in that stand.'"
Unfortunately the Threepennies still remaining is a relic from 1992 (seated part) and 1996 (standing part). Hardly worth preserving !
The last vestige of TRUE threepennies disappeared in 1995. |

yup, as are so many of us, had some great "friends" in The Well, haven't seen any of them since we moved to the KC, I just hope they're all safe and well, wherever they are.
Nobody can ever take the memories away, life is an accumulation of the people you meet and experiences you have, everything else is flotsum and jetsome on the way. |

Towards the end of us playing at the Boulevard i always stood in the well due to my dads failing eyesight.
Some fantastic photos btw. Loved my times there with my brothers and dad. |

You have some great photo's there mate. The old 1978 police photos of the ground empty bring back some memories also. It was about that time I used the ground as a playground . We were never out of the place. There was always a game going on Carrington st v Albermile St on Bombies (What we use to call Airlie st carpark ). |
