Great read.
However, I do think that although optimistic, the new season is far from being conclusive as to our ability. I am personally holding my breath, not crowing to the red filth, and hoping for the best.
Certainly we cannot be worse that last season, and lets just be happy with 6th ish and improvement once again for 2011. Whats for sure is we do need some youth coming through, above and beyond the undoubted starlets.

I think you have to have the belief that you can come 1st. Morgan had exactly the right idea when he said they were aiming to win, and they had a very good shot at it until people realised it was true what they'd heard about Dobson's defence. We have to believe we can finish top and take the GF winners medals or we shouldn't be competing imo. |

We went from 4th 2007 to 11th 2008, so why is it so outlandish to suggest the reverse is possible. I believe the only thing stopping them is themselves as we have experience and ability in abundance.

Yes thats what the comp is all about.People forget that only 3 years ago we finished second and if it had not been for injurys and other things to do with the team we would and should of kicked on.I am very excited about the team we have now assembled especially with the depth of the squad and if they gel quick i will be quietly confident we will go well.All we need is a bit of luck for a change and the rest will take care of it's self. |
