Richard Horne isn't in the same boat though, is he? He's already been told he'll play FB next year. Seymour's basically been told he's out on his ear. Doesn't matter how badly he's playing, coming out and basically saying he ain't good enough and we're going to replace him is harsh, IMO.

Unless of course there are things that we don't know about training/attitude etc. There may not be who knows? I think some of the Pearson critics - the Pearsonottes - expected that there may have been a bit of a player backlash in the wake of this so-called lack of professionalism by the owner. According to Willie Manu, Seymour has been playing with an injury for several weeks now. He has dropped off in form recently. We have not had a chance to rest him until now with Houghton and Heremia both available.

If Seymour has a bad attitude I'd still not expect such a glaringly obvious slating from the chairman. It is unprofessional, whichever way you look at it.

It was a good reaction from the players last night, I expect that's more down to Gentle though.

I raised my eyebrows at the 2 new half back comments but on the other hand Pearson went out of his way to praise Seymour a couple of weeks earlier as a model pro coming over from Australia (while slating Mckinnon). We don't know whats been said to Seymour privately, perhaps they plan on rotating or playing him at LF (all the while when trying to swap him for Danny Brough).

He did, so he obviously doesn't have a bad attitude.
It's going to take a lot of money to pay him off I'd imagine, so who knows, he may have something already sorted.

I wouldn't have done it but I don't own the club and my investment isn't dependent upon success like Pearson's is. I suspect Seymour is already on his way and Pearson's context was based on that - ie talking about the future without Seymour rather than the present with him.

Pearson said our 6 and 7 are not good enough, Horne is our current number 6, i'ld say that was a slating and according to people on here we've signed a fb for next year, for me Pearson can say what he thinks, it's his money

He said our recruitment at half back has been poor this season, I'm pretty sure Horne's been here longer than that.
It was aimed at Seymour, and I thought it was unprofessional. I'm not the only one that thinks that, and you're not the only one that disagrees, ah well.
