| Quote Mrs Barista="Mrs Barista"So why bother for all the bad PR it creates?'"
I wondered that.
While on the surface people assume the Cockayne case set a precedent for non-custodial sentences for violent RL players, and even while Readon's common assault arm-grab is peanuts compared to Ben's blow out, the fact remains that different judges hand out wildly differing sentences for the same offence.
This coupled with the fact that this judge has taken a dim view of the fact that Readon and Pryce broke into the victims' house to commit the assault and his words of doom regarding the custodial sentence does make it seem that Readon will indeed be wearing black and white gaol stripes in a couple of weeks.
So why have Hull bothered? Surely they must have anticipated our disgust?
Or are we THAT desperate?
News on Motu should be demanded, now, I think.

| Someone in RL needs to take a moral stand & de-register these players for a period of time.
What got me about the Cockayne issue, is that it became yet another juvenile Hull vs Rovers argument. What he did, & the example he set, should have made it an argument against right versus wrong, regardless of who you support.
Hull have proved it can be done, as we sacked Maiva (and Cas let their Academy player go). We kept Raynor though. Wonder why that was?. Because he's vital to the team.
Clubs also know that if they sack someone, a rival club will soon pick him up.
I know people sometimes deserve a second chance, but the RL should have the ability to impose some sort of sanction.

Not changed my tune...I agree with an early post about the rl getting its act together and setting out rules for players who are found guilty of any violent crimes.
Accepted we have signed him yes..
If you troll your pages you will see I posted it would be pointless for KR to sack Cockayne as whilst the rl carry on sitting on their fat s doing nothing another team will snap him up anyway..

Quite probably. I thought it was only teachers, police officers and nurses who were social workers in disguise didn't realise it had spread to super league coaches. I feel sorry for Agar probably is spending that much time dealing with personal issues of the team(those here and still to possible arrive) that hasn't anytime to coach.

None of them want to address the domestic violence aspects of what went on, they are just desperate to hang on to their player.
I have to say that morally you are a much more impressive set of supporters than the Saints fans.'"
Hull stuck by Cooke and Raynor through there court trials so why shoudn't saints

| It has been known for some time that Reardon is guilty of, and is awaiting sentence for breaking into his estranged wife's house and then assaulting her.
Brave man that he is, he brought along his mate Pryce as back up. The judge was sufficiently appalled that he warned a jail sentence was a strong possibility.
So good luck with your campaign against domestic violence. Why not invite Reardon's missus to release some balloons at your next home match? She more than most will want to support you in this worthy cause.
