Always thought Jez was too small and light to make it as a top hooker

So did Radders Jimmy

That is strange someone made the same comment to me a couple of weeks ago so I checked their individual statistics on the official site. I was very surprised to find that Danny was 173cm tall and weighed 82kg. Jez was 176cm tall and weighed 84kg. I tried checking today but obviously Jez has been removed from the team list.

That’s really surprising, you would have thought Houghton would weigh more by looking at them both.

If radders thought Litten was to small , why did we offer him a new deal . Is it so we get a fee for him off rovers !

Don’t know the reasons for Jez leaving, apparently he’s declined a new contract offer, the rest is speculation, good luck to the guy.

Why did he turn it down though, do you think Litten has been given enough chances, I'd be looking to leave if our main hooker is out and Washbrook or Hafleyplay there, whilst I'm sent to Doncadter?

All the Litten family are huge Hull fans. This decision will have been a difficult one for him. Jez must have been very frustrated.

Disappointed to see both of them leave. How much game time will litten get with parcel being at rovers?

Sorry to lose both, been good servants of the club and will go well at Rovers where they seem to have a better chance of gametime. I thought it was interesting that Radford persuaded Hadley to push for a first team contract at the start of his career, otherwise he'd be working in a factory and not playing professionally. The physical risks associated with the game, short career, relatively small salaries and lack of options thereafter unless you plan well must mean many are lost to the game. I think it was similar for Shaul.

Houghton is a one off,we won’t get one like him for a long time,Litten has the attributes but we have seen in the games he’s played that he looks the part going forward but his defence will always be his downfall.Nothing against the kid as I hope he improves over the coming years,but would the likes of Wire Saints Wigan etc take him on board? No

As for Hadley I would have liked him to stay,but if if it’s true Rovers offered a lot more than we did then good luck to him.He wouldn’t be anywhere near the starting 17 next year,and at his age needs more regular game time than he would get at FC.Mau Jones Savelio Lane would have been in front of him so don’t blame him at all,been a good loyal player over the years,so all the best to him
