| First half wasn't great but got the win and that is all that matters, 6 point gap from 4th to 5th now too.

| Poor quality first half but we really turned it on in the second forty.
Yeaman was good for us tonight, Stevie Michaels was as reliable as ever. Carlos showed some class and Taylor was great again.
We missed Watts tonight, sounds like he'll be back next week though.

| I've seldom seen a player have another's number in the way Yeamans had bridges tonight! Owned him and dominated him all night

| Apart from a 20 minute spell in the second half it was a largely forgettable game. Poor handling from both teams made it a tedious first half. As for widnes, I saw quicker clearing the ruck speed last week on TV watching championship teams in the big bash.

| Very poor quality game but once again we found a way to win. The rotation of the forwards in the second half was key. Taylor immense once again, Mini, Michaels and Yeaman had big games. Fonua needs to cut out errors. Thankfully no injuries should have a fully fit squad for next week.

| Did what was required. Yeaman excellent, as was Michaels - tough to drop him next week. Taylor though. Two massive plays from him to seal the game. What a player.

This^^^^^ we struggle when the ruck is slowed down, as in the last 3 games. Once we get a roll on we'll score. Ref had a mega brain fart tonight, allowed them to lay all over us then gave 4??? consecutive penalties to them on our line. The pen against Yeamo was idiotic, Widnes winger pushed him back into the play the ball

| Widnes didn't stand square all night and seemed to have the measure of the referee better than us. Teams now know - slow down the ruck and they've got a chance.
Yeaman MoM by a long long way and I never ever thought i'd say that.

| Good to see that we yet again got the win when things were looking in the balance at halftime, and dominated the 2nd half. The recruitment of younger, bigger and fitter players is also having a big impact as we aren't tiring during games and our injury list has been fairly small so far
Disapointed with the crowd though, top of the league 12 wins from 13, only 1 home game since April and no further home games for another 3 weeks, not sure what the couple of thousand who have gone missing in the last few years need to see really?

| Really poor first half, After Yeamans try we really kicked on and played like we can. Thought Yeaman, Taylor and mini were excellent. Micheals 110% and will be a good signing next season for someone, thought Carlos did some nice things. Fonua defended excellently but had a nightmare with ball in hand. Ruck was slow which suited them, next week both teams will want a fast one and if that happens if should be a cracking game.

As I explained in another thread, regaining fans after years of disappointment isn't going to happen in the "couple of thousands" certainly not in the short term. There are lots of reasons why some supporters will not attend, to pass comments as to where they are is fruitless. If they come back they come back, if they don't they are missing out.
